Chapter 13

Y/n POV

Me, Rae, the kids, my dad, and Xolo are back in Seattle, Washington because Rae's dad is in the hospital, the doctors said he doesn't have enough time and he might not make it through the night. When my kids heard that their grandpa might die they didn't leave him at all even if they were tired they never left the room only to go use the bathroom. Me and Xolo watched them sadly as Rae, her sister and her mom are crying together. It breaks my heart seeing them all like this especially Rae's dad who was like a second dad to me. He was the guy that was protective over his daughters but he was also the person I would go to whenever things got too rough.

I hear someone come in so I turned and see Emily and Embry together with the Cullens. I nodded my head at them as Rae hugged Emily tightly. During these years the two women became close like sisters and I couldn't be more happy about that. Carlisle offered to turn my father-in-law but him plus all of us didn't want to. For me, I didn't want him to hate himself for being a bloodsucking monster but for Rae, her mom and her sister, they wanted him to go peacefully and they knew what would happen if Carlisle turned him, so they didn't want too. I hugged Embry and Emily before Renesmee hugged me tightly. During these years Renesmee has grown into a beautiful woman even though she is only 11 years old mentally but she looks older since she is a hybrid.

The Cullens went out the room to give us privacy as I gave one last hug to Renesmee. Embry and Emily stayed in the room with us. Everyone was silent until we all hear beeping of the machine making my kids cry as me, Xolo and Embry took them away as doctors came in and ushered all of us out. I held Rae and our kids as we all stood silently crying as Emily and Xolo try to comfort Rae's mom and her sister. After a couple minutes the doctor came out and walked up to us. He gave us a solemn look. "I'm sorry, but we did what we could but he didn't make it." He told us sadly. I let out a few tears of my own as Rae, my kids, her mom and sister all cried. I held my kids tightly as they cried in my arms.

A week later

After the funeral we went to Rae's old home where we held a memorial there. There were pictures of them and then the pictures with me and Rae's dad with the kids. We all gathered in the house and talking to each other reminiscing Rae's dad memory. The atmosphere was very light but also somber at the same time. But then me, Embry and Xolo smelled a vampire in the area and we immediately got up and left the house. We both shifted and ran to the smell when we saw a vampire with red eyes meaning he drinks human blood. "Go around him, we'll surround him." I told the boys.

They did as told as I stalked the vampire who now sees me. "What is a mutt like you all alone? Probably a rogue one." The vampire said teasingly thinking I'm alone. "I could easily take you down with my gift." The vampire said cockily. He lifted his hand and set it on fire making me freeze a bit but then I saw Embry behind him while Xolo is by another side getting ready for my signal. "You will easily perish with my flames." The vampire said. "Now." I said. Embry and Xolo got out making the vampire look at them shocked and then turn into fear.

He decided to run which was a bad idea because we all started chasing him. Both Embry and Xolo flanked me before they split off to cut him off. The vampire turned around and whacked me into a tree but I shook it off when Xolo and Embry jumped on him and tore him to pieces as I joined in killing the blood sucker. "Not so cocky now, huh?" Embry said once we tore it apart. We all went begin a tree and phased back. The boys didn't have a shirt on while I only wore shorts and a sports bra. Me and the boys took parts of the body and walked back to my house where I already set up a little bonfire.

I took out a lighter and lit the bonfire. We all threw the parts in the fire and watched it burn. We all sighed in relief that we killed this leech before he could do anymore damage. Don't want him to kill my family. We all ran back to the memorial and changed into our suits and walked inside. Rae came up to us with Jenna, Emily and Renesme. "What happened?" Rae asked us once we came inside the house. We looked around before we made them follow us to the backyard so no one could hear us.
