Janvi's Pov
As we descended the stairs. I was laughing because Kartik was teasing Mahira over silly things to lighten up her mood. She was very nervous to meet the groom actually she didn't even wanted to meet him.
"Our to be bhabhi is here." I suddenly heard Shreya Di's voice.
I looked up curiously at her. She was surprised as much as I was. What is she doing here, I thought to myself but I shrugged my thoughts and thought to ask her about it after this meet. Shreya Di is my elder brother's girlfriend and I have met her twice as she came for festivities. She is really a sweet soul.
My eyes moved to the guy who was awe struck looking at Mahira. I guess he was none other than my to be Jiju. I smiled looking at him. As we moved to the last stairs my eyes wandered around to look at everyone. I saw his mom and his dad looking at me. I was shocked to know they were here. They were too completely shocked to see me. I closed my eyes and wished to not see him here. I prayed to god as I didn't want to see him at all.
But as soon as I saw him, my heart sank. His green eyes were stuck on me demanding my attention. I looked into his eyes and I could feel nothing but immense pain. I could tell we were having thousands of thoughts in just one second. My vision started to blur because of the tears which were forming in my eyes. I looked away to avoid those feelings as I knew looking at him would make me weak and this version of Janvi Singhania was anything but weak. My chain of thoughts broke when, Mahi's Dad started to introduce.
"She is my daughter, Mahira." Everyone smiled and greeted her and she greeted them back.
I didn't even realised when she went and sat in the sitting area and Kartik came and stood beside me.
"I am Kartik Piramal, Mahi's brother and she is my Chiku." I nudged my elbow in his stomach to take that nickname back.
He cleared his throat and said " She is Mahi Di's best friend, Janvi Singhania."
Kartik kept his one hand around my shoulder in a friendly manner. I looked at Kartik and then at everyone and smiled at them. I greeted everyone. My eyes moved again at him he was sitting just beside our to be jiju. Me and Kartik just stood behind Mahi. Soon everyone from guys's side started introducing themselves.
"This is my grandson Abhimaan Rajput." His grandfather declared.
"And this my other grandson Sidhansh Singh Rathore." His grandfather declared again.
