Australian airport - Sunday evening
"God, you gotta be kidding me." Carlos groaned and looked at his friend, how had just came back from the counter at our gate.
"I'm sorry, but she said there is a storm and the planes surely can't depart until tomorrow morning." Lando returned and looked between his Spanish friend as his Ferrari colleague.
"That must be a joke, I thought if I couldn't party and celebrate my win then at least we can chat and have a nice time on our flight back as we are luckily on the same plane." Carlos sighted and brushed through his hair.
"We can drive back into the city and go out or something like that." the Monegasque tried to suggest in order to lift the mood.
"Well isn't it a bit late for that, the center is over an hour away. Unless you want Carlos?" Lando said, before he looked back to the lady behind the counter, "By the way the airline gave us some rooms at the hotel here, so we can stay the night there."
"Wow how generous." the Spaniard returned and rolled his eyes, annoyed.
"What's generous?" suddenly a woman asked and the three man turned towards Rebecca, who was coming back from the toilet.
"Our flight will leave in the morning because of a storm and the airline gave us hotel rooms for the night. We're just discussing where to go at the moment." Charles explained to her and she nodded.
"So what are we waiting here for? Let's go there, or not?" the Scottish model asked and looked between the three drivers.
"Yeah fine." Carlos grumbled, but nodded with his head towards the exit.
The others followed him and together they walked back through the airport to its hotel on the other side of the street. As they were VIPs the woman had given them the luxurious hotel, and not the normal one on the other side, so not too many people were in the hall they entered.
While the Spaniard was still very annoyed about the situation, Lando went over to the reception and asked for their rooms. After a short conversation he came back with two white key cards.
"They only gave us two rooms, cause they think you're together, sorry." he pressed out and Carlos just sighed and looked at Rebecca.
"Yeah no problem, we'll be fine. After all it's not the first time we have to share a hotel room." he slightly laughed but his friends looked worried.
"We can also shuffle around if it makes you uncomfortable or we c"
"No no, it's fine. Can we please got, this day is really annoying me right now."
"Sure." Charles said and walked the little group over to the elevators.
"Come on Carlos, you won today this is your day." Rebecca said quietly to him as her arm was linked into his, for all the people around.
"Thanks Rebecca, but this situation is just frustrating me right now." he returned and slightly gave her a smile.
She was always so kind and had the right words, even though they weren't together for real. It all started when a picture of Carlos kissing another man had gotten published. Not one day after Ferrari had provided him with a 'girlfriend'.
