"you brought me coffee?"

----

Heather walked into the conference room, her pink converse hitting the floor as her dark pink ensemble hugged her body.

When she went to sit in her seat, she saw a small to-go coffee cup in her area, a pink cozy wrapped around the brown cup.

"I'm sorry I'm late." Heather says as Emily hands her a file. "Reid, help her review on the way, we gotta go." Hotch says, Spencer looking up to where Heather stood, Heather looking down with a small smile.

"Let's go then." Heather says as she picks up her go bag from the floor, walking with her team. When they made it to the plane, Heather sat in her seat and buckled herself in.

Spencer looked at Heather who still held onto the arm rest of the plane. "Still not a fan of flying?" Spencer questioned from next to her, Heather stiffly smiled as she felt the plane take off.

The man thought she would never talk to him, up until she looked to her lap. "Can you tell me about the case?" Heather says softly.

Spencer pauses, but starts to tell her about the case, Heather's hand progressively loosening on the arm rest. "Thanks Spencer." She says as the fasten seatbelt sign disengaged.

"All right, let's go over victimology." Hotch says as he walks over to the group. "Both Jenny Delilly and Kara Kirkman were single professional women. Jenny had just gotten a job as a Web designer, and Kara worked for a nonprofit." Spencer reads.

"Each woman was taken from a populated area with no witnesses. Jenny from a crowded drugstore parking lot, Kara from the back patio of a ground-floor apartment when her roommate went inside to answer the phone." Emily says.

"Why not take the roommate?" Morgan questions.

"She's brunette. He prefers blondes." Heather says, everyone looking at her. "These vics were forced to make phone calls. Jenny left a message, and Kara spoke with her fiancé." Emily says.

"Garcia, were you able to trace the calls?" Hotch questions. "My pretties, they're using disposable cells, so I'm coming up empty." Garcia says, Heather looking down at her file sadly.

"We do have a timeline, though." Morgan says, everyone turning to him.

"According to the M. E.'s report, both victims were dead for about 3 hours before they were found, which means based upon the times of their messages, they endured 5 additional hours of torture after making their goodbye calls." Morgan says, Heather's heart dropping.

"It wasn't enough that he caused his victims pain and suffering, it extended to their parents as well?" Heather questions softly.

"Rossi, were the phone calls the butcher made his victims leave similar?" Emily questions the man.
