The Summer Everthing Changed

I was at my house, in my room with my feet on the wall, reading "The Fault In Our Stars.", with music playing, and my mom walked in to my room.
" Hey honey, me and dad are getting ready to go the airport to bora bora, you sure you don't wanna come? I can book a last minute plane ticket?" she asked
"No i'm ok, but i'll see you guys in 2 weeks." i said
" Ok call us if you need anything." she said
" Bye love you." i replied
I was finally so exited to get the house to my self, my parents tried to make an effort to spend more time with me, during the summer, since Susannah, and at first it was nice but honestly i enjoyed being by myself. I continued to read my book, when i felt my phone vibrate in my nightstand, i tried to reach for it by leaning off my bed, but i ended up falling straight on the floor, i shot up really quickly and grabbed my phone and i saw, Belly was calling me.
" Hey belly what's up?" i asked
" I'm sending you a picture right now of it." she. said
" of what?"
Then i got a text from belly, and i tapped the message, and it was a ring on her finger.
"Belly? who's that from?" i asked suspiciously
"Jeremiah proposed to me!!" she said yelled
I could feel my cheeks flush, with red and my eyes started to water.
"wow, that's amazing." i replied blandly
"what's wrong?" she asked
" Nothing it's just that you're both so young, you have your whole life ahead of you." i said
" You're not happy or something."
"No, no i'm happy for you, i just wasn't expecting it." i said
" Well, we were gonna have a dinner on Saturday and break it to everyone else, would you wanna come." she asked
"Yeah, i'll come, but do you mind if i bring my friend Alex."
" Friend. Alex?? oooooohhh" she said in a sing song voice
" We are just friends, that's all."
" Yea he can come. "
Then i hung up with Belly and started to bawl my eyes out, i formed a migraine later on, i called Alex.
"hey what's up?"he said
"hey."i said sadly
"what's wrong?"he said
"I didn't say anything was wrong."i replied
"Really? Every time you call me, you say, 'HIII ALEXX' so i think there something wrong." he said
"fine, belly told me that her and jeremiah got engaged."
"Engaged? Are you ok." he asked
"I guess so, but have a favor to ask you." i said
"What is it?" he said
"Would you maybe wanna come to cousins, and go to the dinner with me."
"Are you sure I don't know if i should come I don't wanna impose." He replied
"I asked belly and she said it was fine, I'll buy you a plane ticket, and we can go check out the country fair I told you about."i said
"Of course i'll come."
(3 days later)
I could see him walking with his suite case and I held up a cute sign that said "Alexander McLeon", and he saw it and smiled. I hadn't seen him in a few weeks, and was so glad he agreed to come.
"You wrote a sign for me?" He said
"You found me didn't you?" I replied
"Alright I'll admit it's a nice gesture." He said
He let go of his suitcase and gave me a hug. After we drove to my house to get ready for the dinner, and he said,
"So what are you gonna say to Jeremiah?" He said
"Hopefully nothing, it's not like I can say, hey don't marry Belly, because she's still in love Conrad." I say
"You could." He says and turns his head to me
"I can't, and it's not like everyone doesn't know it Belly's been in love with him since she was 8, I already know someone gonna get hurt whether is Jeremiah, Conrad, Belly, or me." I say
"That may be true, but you should really tell him how you feel before they get married." He says
"I don't wanna be a home wrecker." I say
"Fine then forever hold your peace." He says
"Get it cause they're getting married." Hey says
"Haha very funny."I reply blandly
