She got to her apartment and walked up the stairs, slowly bringing herself closer to her home, that tonight, she didn't have to check for a murderer. Because he was dead, and she was safe. She entered her house, throwing her coat onto the coach as she headed straight for her bathroom, to bathe and wash away the events of the last few days. Kate filled the tub with warm water and slowly sunk down, immersing herself in the water. Leaning back and closing her eyes she allowed herself to relax.

Beckett stepped out of her tub, water dripping from her body into the floor. She walked over to her phone and picked it up answering it tiredly.

"What castle"?

She heard heavy breathing on the other end of the phone followed by castle yelling.

"It wasn't Ben Conrad, he's not the killer! The killers still alive! The killers still alive!"

Castle was cut off by a voice emanating from her kitchen, before she could think about it, Beckett flung herself back into the tub, hitting her head as she landed and blacking out just slowly enough to see fire and ash cover her and everything around, the sentence repeating in her mind, goodbye Nikki. Then, the blackness took over.

"Beckett! Kate"!

She opened her eyes cautiously and inhaled a desperate breath, making her choke and cough.

"Castle".

She said weakly, not taking in the entire scene before, than it hit her all at once. Castles phone call, the voice in her kitchen, hiding in the tub. The tub, she's naked, and castle is about to come in. Heat makes it's way to her face, making her blush, hard.

"Castle, don't",

He shoves open the door to her bathroom and she's set into another fit of coughing and gasping for air.

"Beckett, you're okay".

His eyes sweep her over and then it's his turn to blush.

"And you're naked".

She gets her breathing under control, an looks up at castle glaring.

"Castle turn around"!

"Oh, right, sorry".

Yah right, she thinks she turns herself around, just in case.

"You know your apartment is on fire, now might not be the best time for modesty."

"Castle, give me a towel".

He cocks his head to the right.

"The towels are on fire".

He states, and she can't help but wonder if he is messing with her.

"Well how about the bathrobe"?

"The- do you have anything to wear that isn't flammable"?

She rolls her eyes.

"Give me your jacket, kitten".

He takes of his coat hand keeps his back turned to her as her passes it to Kate's grasp. Castle was grinning. She's okay, she's okay. That was almost all that was going through his head. He helped her stand, stabilizing her as she got out of the bathtub.

"Can you walk"?

He said concern etched into his features.

"Yah, just a little banged up."

She replied trying to make her voice stronger then it was in an attempt to hide how much pain she really was in. She pushed herself away from, set on being independent. He looked at her, and surly enough she Began to walk on her own, it lasted a few moments before her knees gave out and she went falling foward. Castle reacted and pulled her into him before she made contact with the ground. Lifting her up again and putting a arm around her waist and the other out for her to hold onto he started walking towards the door, holding her close to him.
