it is a dark and foggy night as several beacon county sheriff's department deputies pull up to the beacon hills preserve in their police cruisers.

at least a dozen officers get out of their vehicles, same with K9 unit dogs, who are barking out, also whimpering amongst the radio chatters, their voices, being heard from the near end.

the shadow of flashlights was heard being shown on the bark of the trees, then hands that belonged to the officers was seen gripping onto the flashlights, flickering the lights through the woods, going on a search.

inside the mccall's house, the latino that goes by the name of scott mccall was sitting on his bed, wearing only a pair of gym shorts, as he re-threads the laces on his lacrosse stick.

once he's determined that the net on his stick is secure and loose enough, he tosses the stick on his bed before walking towards the bathroom door.

there is a bar mounted on the lintel, him doing a couple of chin-ups, then he after he was finished, he proceeded to go into the room, to brush his teeth and wash his face, before going to bed.

scott then heard a loud crashing noise, which made him quickly lift up his head, his head snapping quickly towards the sound, feeling as if someone was about to break into the house.

scott then walks out of the bathroom, out of his room, then grasping onto a baseball bat that was near a corner.

out in the porch, where scott had found his self, with the baseball bat in his hands, him now wearing a red hoodie, checking out the noise, holding up the baseball bat, then he saw someone hanging upside down, him about to strike the person, whilst yelling, which caused the person to tell as well.

but, then scott had seen it is his best friend, stiles stilinski, scott sighing out at him.

"stiles! what the hell are you doing here?!" scott seemed annoyed.

"you weren't answering your phone! a-and, why do you have a bat?" stiles confusingly asks.

"i though you were a predator!" scott exclaims, clearly annoyed at his best friend for scaring him.

stiles seemed offended. "a pre-what?" stiles then shook his head, deciding to change the subject. "look, i know it's late, but, you gotta hear this–––i saw my dad leave twenty minutes ago, dispatch called, they're bringing in every officer from the beacon department and even the state police."

scott confusingly stares at him. "for what?"

"two joggers found a body in the woods." stiles struggled to hide his glee.

stiles then reached up to set his self free, him then landing on his feet, on the porch, right in front of scott, who still seemed confused.

"what, a dead body?"

stiles leans on the railing, looking at scott with a sarcastic expression.

"no, a body of water."

stiles rolls his eyes at his friends dumbness. "yes, dumbass! a dead body!"

"you mean, like murdered?" scott asks.

stiles shrugs. "nobody knows yet, just that, it's a girl in her twenties."

"hold on, if they found the body, then, what are we looking for?" scott cluelessly asks.

stiles' eyes lit up with glee, him excitedly finishing the story. "that's the best part! they only found half."
