Chapter 9: Who Said A Cat Couldn't Love A Spider?

~The next morning ~

~Husk's POV~

I got up early and opened back up the bar, leaning against the counter. I opened up a bottle full of booze and downed some of it, before stopping as I saw the spider. Sometimes he pisses me off, ESPECIALLY when he touches me when he's flirting.

Angel came and sat down on the bar stool, groaning as he tried to cover up his bruises with a crop top but couldn't hide most of them.

"Hey, whiskers?" Angel said with a smile..

"Yea?" I said as I looked at him in the eyes and arched one of my brows.

"Ya think I could borrow one of your sweaters?" He said, almost causing me to blush but I forced myself to keep my frown. "What for?"

"Well, all my sweaters are crop tops, and I can't cover up the bruises.."

My heart ached, but showing vulnerability is beneath me so I let out a small meow, "alright, just for a bit."

"Thanks whiskers." He said as he kissed my cheek and I growled. "I said you can borrow my shirt not kiss me!" "Sorry, sometimes you're too irresistible, kitty." Angel replied and I couldn't hide my blush.

Suddenly my body moved on its own, making me lift up Angels chin before kissing him on the lips. I paused as our lips touched and I immediately turned red and looked away, trying to stop myself from purring.

~Angel's POV~

I blushed hard as Husk pulled away and tried not to make eye-contact. I immediately covered my mouth as I felt a tingling sensation on my lips before getting a call from Val.

"I'll.. Uh.. take this.." I said as Husk nodded as he looked at me before looking away. 

I walked a few feet away before answering the phone, "Hello...?"

"Hey baby~" Val said with a seductive voice before talking again, "I need you to come over to the studio, the actor who was going to do a shoot quit just a few hours ago. And you're the only whore whose available~"

I paused, my back still aching from the last encounter at the studio, remembering what Val did.

"Yeah.. um sure." I said with a whisper before looking at the blushing cat. "I'll be there in an hour.."

"You better be.." He growled before hanging up and I put my phone into my chest fluff before walking over to Husk.

"Get me a drinks kitty." I said as I sat back down, trying to ignore the heat in my cheeks. 

The cat just nodded and grabbed a bottle before pouring me a drink.

"So.. Was that you're "boss"" Husk said with air-quotes before downing the bottle he had in hand.

"Yea, but he's a fucking shithead." I groaned before smirking at Husk as he made a cute little confused face. I leaned in close to him.

"You wanna give me a kiss again~?"

Husk immediately turned red. "S-Shut it!" 

"Oh.. So you do have a soft side~?"

Husk growled but couldn't hide his swinging tail and his light purrs as he made eye-contact with me.

I leaned in closer, our faces centimeters apart. 

"C'mon kitty~" I touched his lips with my finger before he leaned in for another soft kiss, this time more passionate.

I was stunned at first but gave in and continued to kiss him over the counter.

He pulled away just a bit before lifting me on the counter and leaving light kiss marks on my neck that were bound to disappear in a few hours.

I blushed before lifting his face to look at me, "ya know, I wouldn't stop you now, but were at the bar in the middle of the day.. We're going to get caught." I smiled, "Oh, yeah, sorry." 

"No problem there kitty~"

Husk smiled and purred as he lifted me down. "Don't you need to get going now?"

I reached into my chest fluff and pulled out my phone, looking at the time, and- HOLY SHIT!

"We've been making out for the past forty minutes!" I blushed hard.

"Well.." He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand while he smiled sheepishly, "I guess.. I'm just that good.."

I blushed and nodded before putting my phone back into my chest fluff and heading out the door.
