New Girl on board (Boimler x Female reader)

Everything's Different

(Based off of No Small Parts) 

(L/n) pov:

I woke up nuzzled into someone's chest, but I didn't want to leave; it was warm. I kept my eyes closed acting like I was sleeping, I heard commotion around me; but I didn't care, before a knew it I felt an arm wrap around my lower waist holding me closer. I heard a picture being taken so I moved my head while opening my eyes to see Tendi, Rutherford, and Mariner aweing like 5-year-old kids. I looked at whose chest I was in and blushed 100 shades of red if that's even possible; Boimler was still sound asleep and tried to pull me closer. I backed away slowly and out of my bunk, so I didn't wake him up and looked over at the group before speaking. "How long were we like that?" Mariner laughed and grabbed the air horn from her shelving unit before speaking. "The whole night honestly, cover your ears for a moment." We all complied and covered our ears before she pressed on the horn, causing Boimler to hit the roof of my bunk and start forming a mild panic attack.

I sighed as I watched it all happen and went to calm him down, he calmed down but was still anxious. Tendi got asked to go to sick bay, so she waved us goodbye and left; Mariner had a thing to do so she left. Rutherford laughed before waving goodbye, I sighed and looked at Boimler before speaking. "Looks like it's just us again." Boimler sighed and stood up before replying. "I need to ask Mariner something sorry." With that he left me causing me to sit on my bunk alone with no laughter around; people arguing about science. I sighed before my combadge went off.

"Ensign (L/n), you have bridge duty at 08:00"

I tapped my badge to reply. "Copy that." I stood up and took a deep breath making my way to the bridge. As I walked down the halls with my brain in a whole other dimension, it felt so quiet without having people by my side yelling at the top of their lungs, not caring about what people have to say. As I walked by a screen, I saw a yellow flash rush across the screen causing me to stop dead in my tracks. "All alone bestie?" I looked over and saw Badgey staring right at me with a sly smirk. "I knew you would be left alone; they don't deserve someone like you. Especially Boimler he left you alone." I looked away and saw that no one was around before facing him. "Just for the record, they didn't abandon me; they just have work." I looked away and walked to the turbo lift.

After a few steps I looked behind me to see that Badgey was gone, I sigh and think about badgey's words before someone tapped my shoulder. "You ok, you're not frozen by an alien or something?" I looked to see Commander Ransom looking at me; I replied after being quiet for a bit. "Yeah, my mind is just wondering today." He smiled and rubbed my back before walking towards the turbo lift. "Bridge duty?" I looked up to see him holding open the turbo lift for me; I nodded and walked into the lift with him. As I waited for us to reach the bridge, Commander Ransom spoke. "You look like you've seen a ghost, want to talk about it?" I sighed and looked at him before replying. "I just didn't get enough sleep last night, that's all." He nodded, but I could tell he didn't believe it. We reached the bridge and to my surprise Tendi and Rutherford were there at their stations; they probably had a shift change. I sit at my seat at the control panel to the right in front of the captain's chair.

"Alright warp me." I started to prepare for warp but saw that two people were still on the planet, I spoke up. "Uh sorry to inform you captain, but there's two ensigns down there still." The captain looked at me in disbelief before Commander Ransom spoke up. "What are the names?" I looked at the panel and saw it was Boimler and Mariner, I gulped and spoke. "Ensign Mariner and Ensign Boimler sir." The commander sighed and pressed his combadge to get ahold of them, but no response. I looked behind me to see Tendi biting her nails and Rutherford tapping his fingers on his panel. We heard voices on the badge, but they weren't listening to ours, Captain Freeman groaned and sat down in defeat.
