~the knight and their prince~ [kris x ralsei story]

"Another adventure" (3rd person)

Today was the last week of winter break, kris and ralsei were talking, it was mostly about the fountains and when will the next one appear. It's been weeks since the last one was sealed, but maybe it was a good thing? Everything is balanced now, there was nothing to worry about!
"It's nice that the other darkners are getting along with more lightners"
The prince said, making the human agree. Everyone was happy. A few minutes later, a roar was heard, making the darkners panicked, and the lightners look at the two hero's.
"The hell was that?"
Asriel asked, kris and ralsei went to the others, as the prince started to speak.
"Another fountain appeared, at a house I believe"
"Which house?" We can't just break in"
Dess said, as ralsei started to think, susie told the others to wait at the front.
"We can totally break into someone's house!"
Susie said, making ralsei sighed. Kris looked worried, what if it was their house?! Their mother could be terrified, or confused, or both! Ralsei looked at the human, seeing that they were in a panic, ralsei softly grabbed Kris's hand, asking if they were ok. Kris nodded, then saying that they may know what house has the dark fountain.

When the lighters returned to the school, kris told the others that they and susie would go and seal the dark fountain, to which, asriel did not agree to let his own sibling go on alone, could be dangerous he thought.
"Kris will be fine, me and ral has their back"
Susie told asriel, to which made him more hesitant. Dess on the other hand, told the two hero's to go, making susie and kris leave.

When the two arrived, susie noticed that they were at Kris's house.
"The dark fountains in there?"
Susie asked, making kris nod, hoping their theory is right. Kris opened the door, seeing nothing but darkness. Susie just thought the lights were off, but when she stepped in, she fell, making kris jump in after her.

The two were now in the dark world, looking around, This time, things were different. The hero's went to go check to see if there's anyone.
"Wait up!"
A voice was heard behind them, susie got her axe out, ready to attack. Susie was about to swing but kris stopped her.
"It's me, ralsei-!"
The fluffy prince said, then sighing. Susie put her axe away.
"So you guys found what house it was?"
Ralsei asked, as the theee started to walk, kris nodded.
"It was my mom's house.."
Ralsei gasped a bit, he was wondering how the fountain got to the house kris lives in. Ralsei looked at kris, noticing a worry expression they had. The prince went to the human, putting a hand on theyre shoulder.
"It will be fine kris, I'm sure you and susie could convince your mother that this is a dream, if she is here"
Kris smiled a bit at the idea, maybe toriel wasn't here, maybe she's safe at the school still. Kris's thoughts were interrupted by a voice, calling for someone.
"Is anyone there? Anyone that can help me?"
The hero's went to the voice, then seeing who it was. Kris looked at her in shocked, she was here, confused and probably scared on where she is. Toriel turned to see kris, susie, and someone she was not familiar with.
"Kris?! Susie?!"
Toriel rushed to them, then hugging kris softly.
"Heyyyy miss toriel, how did you get here?"
Susie asked, making Ralsei nudge her a bit. Toriel looked at susie, then ralsei.
"Before I answer that, who's he?"
"He's just part of your dream, like an adventure"
Susie responded, hoping toriel would take the bait. Kris then started to walk away, maybe they wanna seal the fountain as fast as they can? The three followed, as toriel started to question more.
"Why's kris taking the lead?"
"Where are we going?"
"Is this actually a dream?"
"Please try to stay calm, this is new to all of us too"
Ralsei said softly, assuring toriel that everything will be alright.
Suddenly, an enemy attacked, the three hero's got into battle, while toriel watched.
"Wait, when can kris fight?!"
"Uhhh, this is part of your dream remember? Surely you wanted kris to protect themself?"
Susie said out to toriel, then acting to what kris told her too. During the battle, kris got hurt, making toriel panic, she was about to go help them but ralsei used his heal prayer, healing kris.

After the battle, toriel went to kris, the worried mother looked around for wounds.
"Are you ok?!"
"I'm fine mom, ralsei here can heal when we get hurt.."
Toriel looked at ralsei, thanking him, ralsei smiled, knowing that kris has a very good mother. The four started to walk again, hoping not to encounter any more enemies. they got to a safe point, but only kris can see the light. the human sighed, then proceeded to continue walking. Susie then whispered to kris, making sure toriel wouldn't hear.
"Did lancer go in your pocket again?"
Kris nodded, lancer somehow went in Kris's pocket, without letting them know about that. Suddenly, the ground shook, making the four panic.
"What's happening?!"
Toriel shouted, but the hero's couldn't answer, they didn't know, this has never happened before.
everything stopped, then someone appeared in front of the four.
