Song of the Chapter: Drunk In Love by Beyoncé ft. Jay Z

I stared at my white ceiling until my alarm started to beep. I pulled myself out of bed and got ready. I looked at the weather forecast and it was going to be really chilly so I decided to wear a red sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and my checkered covered vans. I curled my hair to look naturally wavy and just put on simple waterproof mascara and some concealer to hide my very noticeable bags. I walked out of my house and was about to enter my car when I saw Harry. I didn't even bother to put on a fake smile for him, I was already over with today and longing to lay back in my bed to do nothing. I got in my car and drove away. I had to pretend to be happy so people wouldn't ask. I kept repeating this mantra to myself:

'Everything is going to be alright'

I got my stuff and then entered my first class. I saw Sophia chatting with some guy and then she gave me a wink. I gave a small faint smile before turning back to wait for the teacher to come.

"Hey."I sighed, "Amanda?" I was snapped out of my trance.

"Huh?" I looked to my side to see a beautiful pair of chocolate brown eyes.

"Hey, what beautiful weather we are having," he was so cheerful and his smile made me feel like I wanted to smile with him.

"Yeah, you're totally right," I gave him a small smile.

"Are you okay?" I froze, was I okay? I felt tired and cold, I was scared of Jace's warnings.

"It's nothing to worry about," I didn't even smile, I couldn't fake whatever composure I had this early in the morning.

"Well, even though we don't really know each other very well. I am a good listener and is willing to hear you out," he said while leaning on his palm and smiling.

"Yeah, I'm sure you would love to listen to a nobody complain about almost anything!" My tone was almost sarcastic, and I couldn't help but crack a smile at him.

"Well, at least I know you will speak your mind," he laughed again, and his dazzling smile peered through.

"Oh no usually I'm really shy and can't even to speak to cute-" I immediately shut my mouth and facepalmed myself. He lifted up one of his eyebrows and then laughed. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what's the matter with me, I usually don't talk this much." I could feel my face heating up in embarrassment.

"It's alright, I think you are really pretty." I smiled at the sudden compliment when I just embarrassed myself to high heavens. He was about to say something when a girl in our class yelled something out. "Guys its been 15 minutes we can leave now!" everyone started to pack up and once I finished, Sophia pulled me away. I waved goodbye to Mason as Sophia started to talk.

"Hey, can I sleepover?"

"Sure! My parents will be out of the country for the weekend for work. It's either you stay over or I would have Liam and Louis come over."

"Thank you! Do you mind telling me what's the matter?" my face changes into confusion, are my smiles not convincing enough?

"I'll explain tonight, for now, can we not talk about it?" She looked at me strangely and then nodded.

"Okay now... What was happening with you and Gray?" she asked while pointing to Mason. He was goofing off with his friends until he spotted me and waved. I waved back and then I looked around feeling holes burning at the back of my head, Harry was glaring at me.

What the hell did I do?

"Nothing, we were just talking since we sit next to each other," I said truthfully. He's the one that starts the conversation, I don't see what the big deal is.
