I started to spend most of my time with Dan; we always hang out after band rehearsal. My feelings for Dan seem to be coming back, but I can't do this to Ivan. Ivan had been there for me when Dan abandoned me. Why should I leave him now that Dan is back, I thought to myself.

It was the weekend, and Ivan had said he would go to the rehearsal with me that day, so I agreed that we would go together.Ivan came early to pick me up, and we left. I got out of the car as we arrived at the hall. Dan was already waiting for me, as he always did, but he couldn't come and talk to me because of Ivan, he just kept staring at me, looking angry. I went into the hall with Ivan, but I kept thinking of Dan.

When the band rehearsal ended, I noticed that Dan didn't wait for me. Instead, he rushed out as soon as the band was dismissed. I told Ivan to wait for me at the car and then I rushed out to find Dan."Dan, wait," I called out. "Why are you avoiding me?"

"I'm not avoiding you, Suana," he responded, looking away.

"But you didn't even say hi."

"Why should I when you brought your boyfriend along?"

"So this is about Ivan, right?"

"Of course it is. Why would you bring him to the band?" he continued. "Are you trying to tell me to stay away from you?""No, Dan," I answered while moving closer to him.

"What do you mean, no, Suana? You know how much I really like you."

"I know, Dan, and I feel the same way for you too," I said with love.

Immediately, Dan looked at me and smiled. I smiled back too.

"I will call you later, Dan. I have to go now," I said hurriedly and left.

I couldn't stop smiling when I got to the car. Ivan had waited for a long time, so we left immediately.Ivan didn't ask any questions, and I didn't say anything either. Ivan offered to drop me off the next day if I was going for rehearsal, but I immediately refused. I wanted to see Dan and spend some time with him after the rehearsal. "First love never dies," I thought as I smiled to myself until I reached my gate. I got out of the car without even saying goodbye to Ivan because I was carried away with thoughts of Dan. I went into the house feeling so happy that day.I wanted to tell my parents that Dan and I had gotten back together, but I wasn't sure if they were going to approve it after what happened between Dan and me in the past. I decided to leave that for another day when I was in a better position to tell them.

I couldn't wait for the next day to come so I could go see Dan. I put on some makeup to look good and went to rehearsal that day. I walked down the road with Dan as we conversed together after rehearsal.I couldn't stop looking and smiling at Dan. "I have really missed you, Suana," Dan spoke up after a long silence. I smiled and replied, "I miss you too."

"I wished I never left you back then. I'm so sorry for leaving, Suana," he said as he held my hands.

"It's okay, Dan," I said while grabbing his other hand. "You are back now, and that's all that matters."

Dan moved closer as he touched me softly on the head and kissed me. It reminded me of my first kiss with him.It was the best kiss of my life. Dan and I went home together that day, and he got to meet my parents.

My mom wasn't really happy about me and Dan being together again. She was worried that he would leave again, and I would end up hurting myself and Ivan.

I couldn't sleep that night; I was thinking about Ivan. I decided to call him to see if he was fine, but Ivan didn't pick up my calls. I became worried and decided to drop by his place in the morning so we could go to school together.I left home early and went to Ivan's house. When I got there, I met his dad on my way in.

"Good morning, sir," I greeted as I walked up to him.

"Morning, young lady," he replied to my greetings. "Have we met before?" he continued.

I could tell that Ivan's father recognized me from the one time I had been at their place for dinner.

"Yes, sir, I'm Suana, Ivan's friend."

"Oh, Suana, the poor girl," he replied in a tone that indicated he remembered me.I am here to see..." I began, but before I could mention his name, Ivan walked out. I felt relieved; Ivan had just saved me from his dad.

"She has a name, Dad. Her name is Suana, not 'the poor girl,'" Ivan said angrily as he took my hand and walked out.

"Why did you come over to my house without calling?"

"I called, but you didn't pick up," I replied, concerned.

"I'm sorry about that. I should have called back when I saw your missed calls. I was worried, that's why I came,"I explained."Did you miss me so much that you couldn't wait until I come to school?" Ivan teased.

I smiled and answered, "Yes," as I turned and hugged him. I wanted to spend more time with Ivan since it had been a while since we spent time together, so I waited for him that day after school, and we walked to the bus stop together.

Then, I left for my band rehearsal. As usual, when I got there, it was Dan at the entrance waiting for me.I smiled as I saw him, and we held hands together as we walked to the seats.The band rehearsal had ended, and we walked to the bus stop together with Dan holding hands, talking, laughing, and having some romantic moments as we walked.

When we reached the bus stop, I was surprised to see Ivan standing right in front of me.
