Chapter 11: Back Together

Korra woke up the next morning to hear howling. It was still raining but she heard the sound of howling. Korra shot up and accidentally woke everyone up. "Korra? What's wrong?" Asami asked and then they all heard a howl which all made them jump up. Korra was in her wolf form and her tail was wagging really fast. Everyone noticed how excited she was. "It's them," Korra said and ran into the rain. Naga ran after her. They gang ran after the both of them. Four other wolves came into sight. "Guys!" Korra and Naga yelled. "Korra! Naga!" They yelled. They ran up and hugged each other. "We're so glad you're okay!" They said. "We are glad that you're okay," Korra said. They saw the gang and growled. "Woah, calm down. These people are friends. Gang this is my pack, Shyu, Jin, Rho, and Rika. Pack, this is the gang, Asami, Jinora, Kai, Wu, Mako, Opal, and Bolin," Korra said and they greeted each other then went back to the cave. They talked for a while... 

"Oh! I just remember the last Supermoon Festival we were at! The show!" Naga said and they looked at her. Korra motioned her to stop and not finish her thought. "What happened?" Asami asked and Naga was about to say something when Korra covered her mouth. "Nothing! She's just talking out loud. Ignore her," Korra chuckled, nervously. Naga tried to move Korra's hand. "She's lying," Naga said, a bit muffled. "Shut up!" Korra whispered and Naga looked at her then rolled her eyes. "Korra," Asami said and Korra tried to ignore her but couldn't. "Yeah?" Korra asked. "Let her go," Asami said, crossing her arms. "But- But!" Korra said. "Let her go," Asami said and Korra turned to Naga. "Keep your stupid little mouth shut," Korra said and the girl stuck up her middle finger. "You little-" "Korra!" Asami cut Korra off and Korra let go of Naga. 

"Now what were you talking about?" Asami asked. "Have you ever heard a wolf howl?" Naga asked, smirking at Korra. "Huh? Howl? Yeah, I guess," Asami said and Korra looked up to the corner. "How have you ever heard this wolf howl?" Shyu asked. "No, why?" Asami asked. "She's really, really good at it, y'know. Other than being the best hunter, she was also the best howler," Rika said. "Shut up!" Korra said. "What does that mean?" Wu asked. "Well, the best howlers get chosen for the show. A music competition almost. Guess who was also the best there?" Jin said, looking at Korra. They all looked at Korra. "It wasn't really me. It was more you guys than me," Korra said. "Says the girl who can sing and rap," Rho said and they looked at them surprised. "You can sing and rap?" They asked. "I guess," Korra said. "Please do something!" Opal, Jinora, and Asami asked. "Fine. Give me something to sing about," Korra said. "Do one of your past songs," Naga said and Korra thought for a second. "Okay, I got you," Korra said and took her phone out. She started playing music. Shyu and Rika helped her a bit. The gang was surprised.

They clapped when they were finished. "That was amazing!" They said and the girl fist bumped. "Yeah!" They talked for a while longer until Korra and the pack walked outside of the Korra. "So how's the tribe?" Korra asked. "You need to come home... Chief," Shyu said and Korra's eyes widened. "We're sorry. A few months ago they got lost. We did find your parents but when we did it was too late. Sorry, Kor," Rika said and Korra was glad it was raining when she heard sobbing behind her. She looked behind her to find Naga. "Mom and dad are gone? B-But that can be true! Korra, say it's a joke! Please! They can't be gone right? They just can't be," Korra didn't say anything. She just pulled Naga close. Naga was sobbing as they both fell to their knees. "No! Mama! Papa!" Naga cried and Korra hugged her tightly. 'Damn it. I failed again. I couldn't protect them,' Korra thought. The gang gasped as they heard Naga cry out. Then Rho gave them two necklaces. Korra took them and held them close. 

"Look at me, Naga. Everything is going to be okay," Korra said. "But mama and papa..." Naga cried. "I know. It hurts me too but we have to stay strong, alright? We won't let their sacrifice go to waste. They were strong and now we have to be strong for them. I'm going to stop this war because it's been going on for too long," Korra said and Naga nodded as she wiped her tears away. "And we'll be there to help you," Rika said and they nodded
