Chapter 8: Apologizes

Korra went out to find Naga but before she could completely leave the cave Naga tackled her almost terrified to death. "Korra! Korra! They're here! They're here!" Naga yelled and Korra got up. "Woah, slow down. Who's coming?" Korra asked. "I-It's them! Draken wolves! A lot of them!" Naga yelled. "Crap. Put out the fire! Don't leave any trace or evidence that shows we were here!" Korra said. "What's going on?" Kai asked. "No time to explain. Just hurry up," Korra said and they did. "But what about the smell?" Naga asked. "Good thing that I brought my bag," Korra transformed into her human form and reached into the bag she brought. She then threw a ball-like object. It exploded with stink gas. They covered their noses. Then Korra lit a match and threw it in there. A fire burned bright then it went out quickly. "That should do it," Korra said and transformed back into her wolf form. They started running.

 Eventually Wu, Opal, Jinora, Asami, and Naga were getting tired. Then they heard growling behind them. Bolin picked up Opal. Mako picked up Wu. Kai picked up Jinora. Then Korra grabbed Naga by the tuff and Asami on her back. "Damn it! They caught up to us faster than expected," Korra said. "Are you sure that you can carry us both?" Asami asked. "Just shut up and hold on tight! Come on boys, we have to pick up the pace! Stay close to me," Korra said. "Right!" They said and Korra started to speed up. They all noticed and were amazed. 'Come on! Gotta go faster!' She thought as she sped up. "Asami take Naga," Korra said and Asami did. Korra was panting a lot and Asami could feel her heartbeat speed up. "Come on, Korra! Show them what you've got!" Naga said and Korra kept on getting faster.

They ran out of the forest to the field but they kept on running. They ran until they got to a creek. Then Korra stopped and they got off her back. She was panting a lot as she sat down. She got some water then layed down. As the others were celebrating that they got away, Asami sat next to Korra. Korra looked away and Asami put a hand on Korra's back. "You're so soft," Asmai said, rubbing her back. Then she scratched behind Korra's ears. She noticed that Korra relaxed and her tail was wagging. Asami laughed and Korra was blushing. "Awe," Asami giggled. "Leave me alone," Korra said and Asami pulled Korra into her lap. "What are you doing?" Korra asked. "I'm petting my giant puppy," Asami teased and Korra didn't look at her. Asami started petting her and her tail wagged. She put her paw over her tail but it didn't work. She sighed and just sat there. 

"I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I shouldn't have gone off on you like that," Korra said. "No. You're right. I have to wake up," Asami said. "I was just mad and a lot of things were on my mind. I didn't mean to snap. I know you were just trying to help me feel better and I thank you for that but it's just that not everything can be fixed," Korra said curling up in Asami's lap. "It's fine. I just really do care for you and want you to be alright. So I want to help as much as I can," Asami said. "I care for you too and I want to be with you, Asami. I really do but I'm technology engaged. I wish things could be different. But we're from two different worlds," Korra said and transformed into her human form. Asami looked at her and leaned down to kiss her. "I know but we'll get through it together," Asami said and they kissed. 'I love her so much but it hurts that I can't be with her. I wish we could be together,' They both thought at the same time. They hugged and Asami cried into Korra's chest. Korra also wanted to cry but held in the tears. 'Why does this always happen to me? I swear it's a curse. Because every time it happens it hurts more. The pain grows like a curse and is eating away at me. It hurts so much I could die,' They thought.

Opal noticed the two hugging. "She mostly told her," Naga said. "Told her what?" Opal asked. "That they can't be together because they are from two completely different worlds. Our rules and traditions are just too different. That's why the wolves and human worlds have been separate until now. For each other's safety. It was the unspoken agreement, humans don't metal with the wolves and the wolves would do the same. Until the humans broke the promise. A war was started between the humans and wolves. Then wars broke between the humans and the same with the wolves. That's why we have to get back home so Korra can marry Tarran and end the war between the two Clans. I know she doesn't like him but it was her choice," Naga said. "What happened to make her act like that?" Opal asked.
