MILE
It's our last day together.
There is tension in the air but neither of us brings up that topic but the fact is that, after today, Barcode and I go back to our lives of ignoring each other.
"Where are we going?" He asks as I guide him through the secret passage and to the private elevator.
"You'll see when we get there," I say, smacking my lips at his impatience. This is the fourth time he's asked this question.
"Can you give me a hint?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Is it a restaurant?"
"Patience, kitten."
"Ugh, but I want to know!"
The elevator doors open to a brightly lit hallway and I grab his hand, guiding him from the lift and to the last door of the floor. He follows obediently and keeps asking for hints but I say silent.
I take out a keycard and use it to let us into the place. Barcode gasps when we enter the massive space, his eyes going wide as we walk deeper into it.
"Oh, this is so niiiice, Phi," he whispers in awe, his eyes trying to take in everything from the chandelier to the custom art I commissioned from an artist in Italy and everything else I personally overlooked.
"Do you like it?" I ask Barcode when his hands slip from mine and he runs to the massive glass wall that overlooks the city. It gives a clear view of all of Bangkok with the twinkling city lights.
"I love it. Was this the surprise? Did you rent this room for the night? I love it so much. I can't believe you rented this place. It must've costed a fortune just for one night."
"No, I bought this condo for you."
There is a long pause before he breaks into laughter. "You're so funny. Quit joking Phi."
"I am serious," I say, my voice firm and face serious. He should know me, I don't make jokes of poor taste. "This is yours, Kitten."
His laughter dies out when he realizes that I am serious and he frowns at me. "W-why would you do this?"
"Think of it as a parting gift," I say.
"A condo is a parting gift?" he sputters. "What next, are you going to get me a car?"
"If you want."
His mouth opens and closes as he looks for the words to say before finally settling on, "Why?"
I approach him and brush my thumb over his plump lips, swollen from the kiss we shared earlier in the car. I watch as his tongue peeks out to lick the spot I just touched. "Because...my lovely brat, I want you to have somewhere to run to." I cup his jaw and stare into those beautiful eyes of his. "I don't want you to feel the need to run to anyone. If you need somewhere, then you have this place. No one who is not registered at the front can enter the building."
His brows draw in confusion. "But we didn't use the front."
"No, we used a private elevator that cannot be accessed by most. You will have to use the front to enter the next time you come. It's all yours and only you have the key to this place."
His eyes drop to my lips before looking back up. "What about you? Do you have a spare?"
Can you show up anytime? Is the silent question.
I ignore the little hope I catch in his voice. "No."
"But you bought this place. Why don't you have a key?"
"Because I want this to be your safe place. You can hide here anytime you need a break from people and I will never intrude."
"But -"
I lean down and kiss him before he can voice the words I read in his eyes. He's going to ask me to stay and I don't want to hear the words.
We had an agreement. One week. Seven days. That's it!
Any more than that and we'll be begging for trouble. It's a miracle that we've gone this long without being detected. When Bible and Jeff were dating, they were caught pretty fast and exposed because the two didn't have the senses to hide their little affair, causing them loads of heartache.
I was careful to make sure that didn't happen.
Barcode wanted to know what it would feel like to date someone older and despite all my best efforts to stop that from happening, I gave in and now I have kept my side of the deal.
It all ends tonight.
"Mile, can we..."
I deepen the kiss, backing him in the direction of the bedroom. He moans when I drop my lips to his neck, kissing his skin even as I tug at his clothes off. Soon, his mind and actions are on board with mine and we're tearing at each other's clothes.
The little noises he makes at the back of my throat send my body heating up with the need to be inside of him. We seem to forget everything but this moment as our bodies slide against each other in the heat of pleasure.
We go at it all night, exploring each other in ways we haven't until this moment. His moans fill the room as I drive my cock into him.
It's hard and fast and at times, slow and gentle. Almost....loving.
It's perfect.
The perfect goodbye and it lasts all night.
It's not until midnight when Barcode finally falls asleep. I watch him as I do every night, brushing my thumb over his cheek as I stare into his pretty face. Long dark lashes flutter in his sleep, perfect porcelain smooth skin shining against the light, and a mouth made for kissing.
I lean down and brush my lips over his cheek before climbing out of bed. I grab a quick shower and slip back into my clothes. He doesn't stir when I walk back to kiss him goodbye, brushing his hair back before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
"Goodbye, Kitten."
He stays still as I walk away and it's not until I am opening the door that I catch a soft "Goodbye, Daddy."
I guess he wasn't asleep after all.
Even so, I don't turn around to look at him. I close the door softly behind me and let myself out of the condo, my mind blank and refusing to think of anything about the past week.
Whatever feelings I might from the time spent together will have to be ignored.
Now it's time to go back to normal life and leave him to explore adulthood on his own. Unlike everyone else, I trust him to find his way without being coddled every other second.
For us...this is the end.
It's better this way.
- End of update.
* Have a mile on your way out.
Thanks for reading and see you in the next update. Meanwhile, take care. ❤
