What Happens Next

Life Changes

Today is the day! The day I finally get to meet my partner. My mother had been tell all about him and I can't help but love him already. Now let me back up a little bit and explain.

My name is Kara and when I was young my mom and dad found a very nice boy for me to be partners with for the rest of my life, now he probably isn't a boy anymore but I've heard amazing things about him.

He knows how to hunt, make leather, make his own weapons, build a hut. He's everything I've ever dreamed of. Now I have never met him but he knows everything about me. He's been given updates about me every moon cycle, and I've heard he just loves hearing about me.

Anyways we won't make vows to each other until I start bleeding like the rest of the woman do every moon cycle,  that's when I will be an adult. I have amazing skills like cooking, making paints, making clothes, some herb growing along with food growing, but when I bleed that's when we will my duty will grow more.

I will have to bare his children, which I'm not upset about as long as he is loving I will do anything for him. Before I left my village and started on this 3 day journey all the woman gave me blessing and tips about what it's like to have a partner.

Some of them told me when we seal our bond it won't be comfortable but as a wife I will have to endure it, some also told me child birth is dangerous, and that only the strong survive child birth. They told me not to worry to much because being a wife has many more benefits, like I get to cook my husband meals 2 times a day, be there for him if he gets injured during a hunt, I get to bring him happiness from everything I do.

Anyways I think I got off track but I'm traveling with my mother and father to his village, I will be staying there for the rest of my life. Mother and father will only be around until we complete our bond then they will leave and go back home, but on the bright side I will get a new family. I've heard he has a bunch of brothers and one sister. They will become my brothers and sisters too which I'm super excited about. I've always been an only child as my mother has had problems with her other 2 pregnancy after I was born. It makes her sad but she's incredibly happy to have me and I couldn't be happier to have her as my mother.

There is one more thing I've been told about my partner and that's his name.

Thank you for choosing this book to read. I just came up with this idea like 3 hours ago and I'm really excited for this book. I have so much motivation for this book it's kinda crazy. I'm hoping this book will also give me motivation to start writhing my others again but for now, enjoy this book!!!
