What Happens Next

Elijah

I had a really good rest, I was much more calm then I was before, everything was moving so fast. My head was spinning in directions. Elijah will be here soon and I should help set the table. I sit up facing the wall and stretch slightly trying to wake myself up more.

I heard rustling behind me making me quickly turn around... I was not expecting this.

"E-Elijah?" I speak softly only enough for him to hear me. The man stops and turns around, I forgot to mention, he's not wearing a shirt. I cover my eyes and look down. "Sorry if I'm intruding... I'll go help set up for dinner" I quickly get of the bed and head towards the door but a gentle hand hold me back from my shoulder.

"Your not intruding, this is your room too Kara, not just mine. I should have gone to a different room to change, I apologize for making you uncomfortable." He spoke kindly and softly.

I nod but stay facing the door my breathing still fast. "I-I would like to go help with dinner I-if that's ok?" I asked softly. This is something I won't be happy about, asking permission to do things. I've always been a free spirit and don't like being held back.

I heard Elijah sigh as he takes his hand off my shoulder "yes you may, go ahead I'll be out soon." I heard shuffling as he stood up.

I didn't wait, as soon as I heard him stand up I quickly opened the door and walked to find Ester cutting vegetables. "Ester? Is there anything I can help with?"

Ester looked over with a smile but shakes her head "no child, I have Henrik and Rebekah helping. Your parents set your stuff just outside while you were sleeping, you can go ahead and bring the into your new room." She stated with a smile.

I sighed and nodded and I stepped out of the hut only to run into a stone wall. Ouch. I fell down before I looked up to see Niklaus looking down with a shocked look on his face. "Oh Kara I'm sorry I didn't see you come out. Here" he put his hand out in front of me making me grab it and him pulling me up slowly.

I let out a small laugh "it's ok, it's not your fault." I sighed and looked around and found my stuff on the side on the hut. "Would you like some help bringing your stuff inside?" Niklaus asked gently.

I nod but don't move I just stare at my stuff. After a few minutes I start walking away towards the forest. "Where are you going Kara?!" I hear Niklaus yell. I don't look back and I don't stop. "I need to be alone, don't follow me..." after that I was a few feet into the forest and I just kept walking.

This chapter is shorter then normal. I have so much planned for this book, there are so many ways this book could go. See you next time!! Also happy Easter
