What Happens Next

Wedding Talk

I don't remember much, but what I do remember is that I was attacked by a wolf last night, and it wasn't pretty.

I slowly open my eyes to be greeted by a blinding light, also my future husband, and a raging pain in my right leg.

I gasp as I try to move it only to be greeted by the worst pain I have ever felt.

It didn't take long for Elijah to be right by my side holding my hand, running his fingers through my hair as he tried to comfort me. "Shh Kara, you're ok. Keep your leg still, it has to heal."

I lean into Elijah's hold more then I noticed. "What happened? It hurts so much!"

Elijah nods as he hold me tighter. "You were bitten by a wolf, it tore your skin and father had to cauterize your wound. You should be up and walking in a week or so."

I nod as I try to calm down but I really can't the pain is just to much. I just can't stop whimpering and whining, it may seem annoying but I just got my skin tore off by a wolf.

Elijah sighed as he looked like he was thinking. "Kara? Would you like to talk about the wedding?" He seemed a bit hesitant.

I looked up at Elijah trying to seem brave as I nodded. Wedding... I'm not as excited as I was before I left my home.

Elijah smiled as he looked into my eyes. "I'm sorry about anything you heard from your village, but I promise it will be nothing like that. We will have fun, the fun won't stop for days."

I smiled a little but then frown. "Will there be people watching..." I asked softly

Elijah sighed and nodded "there will be but not strangers, my parents, your parents, Finn and Niklaus. So all family, mother and father, along with Finn have been to multiple ceremonies, but this will be Niklaus's first one."

I nod with a sigh "I've heard bad things from the women in my village, they all send it's hurts, and that their husbands were holding them down... I don't want that to happen. I know this ceremony is important in marriage and that its supposed to strengthen our bond as one, I get that, I just don't want to be held down, or be in pain..."

I know how important this is but the stories I have heard are scary. I don't even look Elijah in the eyes right now cause I'm trying really hard not to cry.

Elijah gently grabbed my chin and lifted it upward so my eyes met his. He had a soft smile on his face. "I will do everything in my power to make our wedding week the best week of your life Kara, it shouldn't just be fun for me and everyone else, you deserve that happiness as well."

There was a soft knock on the door making both me and Elijah look at the door. In walked Esther with a bowl of something, and Finn and Niklaus behind her. I looked at everyone confused. "What's in the bowl and what are Finn and Nik doing in here?"

They didn't seem bothered that I referred to Niklaus as Nik. I glad but they also ignored my question.

Finn gently helped me sit up as Nik moved my leg gently. Yes it was painful but not a painful as it was before. I was leaning into Finn a lot as I was still recovering me strength. "What is going on? Elijah?"

With that Elijah turned and looked at me with a guilty expression. "Well my mother is a witch, I know it sounds crazy but she is. I asked her to come up with something that will help your leg heal and not leave a scar."

I was beyond shocked, first witches don't exist, second why didn't he bring this up to me. I looked at the bowl and saw it literally smoking. I quickly shook my head. "No, I don't want that." I felt Finn gently rub my back as me made me lean back into him more. He draped his arm over my stomach as if he was getting ready to hold me down.

Nik was holding my leg tightly so it wouldn't move. This is not going to end well I can already feel it.

I start to try a sit up and move away but Finn and Nik just held on tighter. This made me panic as I started to fight harder. "Let me up I said I don't want it!" I yelled out looking at Esther.

Elijah came over and grabbed my hand. "You need it Kara, just a few minutes and you will start to heal." He looked over at Esther and nodded his head.

I am pissed but that's the least of my problems right now. As Esther put the goop on my leg, it felt like my leg was being cooked alive.

The neighbors could probably here me screaming like I'm being killed......cause that's what this feels like. I was struggling against Finn as hard as I could but he was strong, a lot stronger then I thought he would be.

Nik was holding me leg perfectly straight and wasn't letting go anytime soon. If my pain ever stops I'm going to hurt these men that are my soon to be family.

Especially Elijah cause no one will take my right away. Not even my soon to be husband.
