TRIS' POV

I wake up this morning earlier than I usually do. I take a shower, dress up, eat an apple and run to school. Yes, I run. At least I try.

I arrive at school breathless. I start walking to my locker but then one of Four's friend comes to me.

"Hi, I'm Uriah" he says kissing the top of my hand. I blush.

"What a gentleman" I say shyly. Nobody never did that to me.

FOUR'S POV

The first thing I see when I arrive at school is Tris. With Uriah.

"Hey Zeke, what is he doing?" I ask pointing at his brother.

"I think little Uri has a crush on the stiff."

"It's Tris now" I say with a tone that surprises me. Uriah says something that makes her laugh and blush. I walk straight towards them.

"I hope I am not interrupting something" I say smiling hoping she says 'no'.

"Actually yes you are" Uriah says.
"I was about to ask Tris on a date."

She blushes even more.
"Really? Then it's a yes" she says smiling.

"Okay I'll pick you up at 7" Uriah says walking away leaving me and Tris alone.

"So I guess we won't study after school" I say. We were supposed to.

"Oh Four I am so sorry, I can still cancel my date."

"Don't worry" I say.
"I had a family dinner anyways."
I just lied. I don't want people to think I've been set aside for a stupid date.

"Okay then. Bye."

Being rejected by Tris isn't a real pleasure.

I come home after school and my dad is there. Weird. He usually comes home around 8.

"Tobias we are going on a business dinner tonight. We are going at the Priors. Prepare yourself" my dad says. I wasn't that wrong after all.

My mother died when I was younger and now it's just me and him. He spends a lot of time at work to make sure I have all I need but I'd prefer him to be more present in my life.

I put on a black shirt and black pants with a white tie.

We arrive at the house. It is really big. Since this family own a company they must have a lot of money.

"Hello" a guy says to us. He comes to the same school as me but he looks like someone familiar that I can't put my finger on. He must be the son.
"Have a seat" he says.

While my father and Andrew talk about business I eat in silence.

Then Natalie Prior starts talking to me.
"Your name is Tobias, isn't it?"

"Yes ma'am" I say.

Her son laughs at the sound of my name.

"I'm sure you and our daughter Beatrice could become friends. Unfortunately she couldn't come to the dinner tonight." Ms. Prior says.

I get a little curious.
"And why is that?" I ask.

"Oh she said she was going on a date with a boy. Perhaps you know him? His name is Uriah."

"Oh"

It's all I can say.
