Victor tried calming me down, when they let us be in the waiting room, while Jason sat beside me, looking awfully worried. I couldn't stop crying, neither worrying.
Will Niko be, okay?
Will Betty Smith finally be locked up in jail?
Are the other orphans finally free from that fucked up situation?
Will Niko survive...?
I couldn't stop thinking, thinking, thinking...
I started looking through my phone, searching: "Can you survive a bullet wound?", "How often do people survive from gunshots?", before I could search anything else, Jason took away my phone and shook his head.
"That won't help with getting you less worried...", before we knew it, two people rushed in... not doctors, they came to Jason and started asking millions of questions: "Is our daughter, okay?", "What happened?", "How did it happen?!"
I immediately knew who they were... Niko's Parents. Niko's dad shook his head and started comforting Niko's mother: "Hunny, everything will be alright, she will be alright..."
Niko's mother looked at us and said: "She already has gone through so much... I can't believe this; how did this happen...?!", Niko's mother was searching for an answer, but neither of us delivered. I quickly took my phone back from Jason and put it down my pocket. I quietly answered (finally): "A-a lot things... happened...", I couldn't say it... I can't say it... she will blame me for making this happen to her daughter... why couldn't I be the one who would be shot?
Victor told the whole story to her parents, while holding my hand. He knows that it is hard for both of us... Tears started streaming down my face and I quietly said: "I am sorry... this is all my fault", Niko's parents shook their head and her mother said: "It's not your fault sweetheart, you can't control other people's actions"
I nodded while wiping the tears from my face. A doctor came in with a clipboard. He came towards us and asked: "Are you two Niko Hailey Blossom's parents?" he looked towards her parents and they both nodded. He took them away, where we couldn't hear. They both nodded and said something back, they came back and told us the news...
