at dawn Gandalf leads a horse with frodo beside him.

Gandalf:"come along, Samwise keep up"

Frodo and Sam follow him through the woods

Gandalf:"be careful, both of you the enemy has many spies in his service birds, beasts"

Gandalf stands over Frodo.

Gandalf:"is it safe?"

Frodo touches his breast pocket

Gandalf:"never put it on, for the agents of the Dark Lord will be drawn to its power"

Gandalf:"always remember Frodo... the ring is trying to get back to its master it wants to be found"

he pats Frodo's shoulder then tears off on his horse.

Frodo's gaze darts fearfully around the deep forest and Sam approaches and gives him a matter of fact look.

Frodo steals himself and presses Onward

employing walking sticks they trek along a hill past a cottage with a smoking chimney then hop stones beside a small waterfall.

they walk through a green field toward a forest and distant mountains beyond

at sunset Sam follows Frodo past a scarecrow in a field of crops.

he slows to a stop and looks arround

Sam:"this is it"

Frodo turns

Frodo:"this is what?"

Sam:"if I take one more step.. it'll be the farthest away from home I've ever been"

Frodo turns back and stands before him.

Frodo:"come on, Sam"

he offers the path and Sam looks at his feet then takes a step.

Frodo puts an arm around him and they go together

Frodo:"remember what Bilbo used to say 'it's a dangerous business, Frodo going out your door you step onto the road and if you don't keep your feet
there's no knowing way you might be swept off to'

in the evening they cook at a campfire

Sam steps out of large plants onto a dirt path through the field.

finding the path empty he stops and looks behind him then hurries forward in alarm.

Sam:"Mr Frodo? Frodo? Frodo!"

He stops as he sees his hobbit friend

Sam:"I thought I'd lost you"

Frodo:"what are you talking about?"

Sam:"it's just something Gandalf said"
