"Jones, come on!"
What the-
I looked up and found Adeline standing there. She somehow opened that damn door.
I hated her, but I climbed out anyway. I glared dangerously at her, but she offered me her gun.
"What the hell are you doing?" I glowered at her.
"I did my job. Now I've got a new mission," she said, her green eyes searching my face.
The ship jerked and I grabbed the gun, aiming it right at her.
"Why? First you capture me and then you try and help me?" I snarled.
"Jones, what you said to me last night-"
The ship leached.
"I'm getting out of here!" I shouted. To hell with what she thought.
I fired up the boots and raised in the air before shooting off, but I figured out quickly that this was going to be no easy trip. Fighting here, and there, and-on the ceiling? What? How was that even-
"JONES!"
Adeline crashed into me before a blast could hit me, and we tumbled towards the ground. I twisted and landed on my feet, firing the gun at a few of the guards.
"What is this?" I demanded to know.
"An attack on Tidus!" Adeline shouted.
Attack on Tidus? It reminded me of Attack on Titan. Terrible show.
"Come on, we must get on that ship!" Adeline shouted.
"Ship? What ship!"
"Just come on!"
She grabbed my arm and yanked me down the hall, shooting in no particular direction every once in a while.
There was indeed a ship, it had borded itself unto Tidus' ship.
Adeline dragged me inside, and I was wary. Who's ship was I invading now?
"Diomika, we've got Mercury!" Adeline shouted into her earpiece.
"What's Diomika?" I asked.
"She is the Captain of this ship."
A women in a black suit came around the corner, giving him the once-over.
"And how do you know me?"
"I'm your mother's ship's captain," Diomika told me.
I stared at her.
"Is my mother on board?" I asked.
"Well, I would hope so, it is her ship," Diomika replied.
My jaw locked, my mother was on this ship.
"Why are you here?" I asked, or in other words- why was my mother showing up to help all of a sudden?
"Because we knew you were in danger."
"What?"
I followed Diomika back up the corridor, and into a high-tech control room.
"Convert all power into the engines!" she shouted.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" I stepped in front of her," We can't leave, my sisters still in there."
"Oh, don't worry, your father's getting her."
Turning, I found another man. So, my father was on the ship too. Nice of them to finally show up.
"Stinger," the man offered his hand, and hesitantly I shook it.
"Jones," I said.
"I know who you are, Mercury Wise. You look just like your father," Stinger gave me a tight smile.
"How do know my father?" I asked.
"I was his commanding officer in the legion."
"Legion?"
"He'll explain it."
"Right. And how do you know me?"
He hesitated,
"Well, for one: my daughter watched over you since you were kids."
It was like being sucker-punched. Again.
"Kiza was your daughter?" I managed to push out.
"Yeah, she was. And I don't give a damn how long it takes to find out who did it, but I'll find him."
A snarl was etched in my face and I felt Adeline stiffened.
"There's no need to search," I growled, I grabbed Adeline,
"Her killer's present."
I threw Adeline forward, this Stinger guy would deal with her.
"Jones-"
But I didn't listen. Instead I walked to where I could see the battle through the glass. Who cared what happened to Adeline.
"Break off!" Diomika commanded.
She ship lurched and began moving away from Tidus' ship, which was now smoking.
"Mercury?"
I frowned, I knew that voice.
I turned and found a mirror image of Saturn: long Raven hair up in a ponytail and deep tan skin. I knew exactly who it was.
