Harry's POV

I couldn't keep my eyes off him all night after the race, watching every move, I was trying to decipher his thoughts, he was anxious. I could tell.

Nicky, was the perfect image of poise and grace, her hand slipping into his as they navigated the crowded room, her smile bright as he was looking at him.

When the party was winding down I found myself alone with Zayn. We were standing on the balcony of the club.

I leaned against the railing, my eyes fixed on the horizon as I broke the silence.

"I saw the way she looks at you," I said, my voice quiet but steady. "She loves you, Zayn."

"I know she does," He sighed.

I turned to look at him, I was searching for something I wasn't sure he could give.

"Do you love her?"

The question hung in the air, heavy and unspoken for far too long. I wanted to hear I was the only one I loved. But the truth was more complicated than that. I knew that.

"I care about her," he finally said.

My gaze didn't waver, my eyes boring into his as if I could see right through him.

"But do you love her?" He hesitated like the truth was stuck in his throat. "I... I don't know," he admitted. "Not the way I love you."

The truth was that I loved him in a way that I didn't love anyone else, in a way that I couldn't love anyone else.

He reached out, grabbing my hand and squeezing it tightly. "I don't want to lose you," he said, his voice filled with desperation. "But I can't let go of her either."

"You can't have it both ways, Zayn. Not forever," I said looking down at our joined hands, my thumb brushing gently over his knuckles.

I know my words hit him like a punch to the gut, he swallowed hard, and the reality of the situation crashed down on him. I was right. He couldn't keep stringing both along, couldn't keep living in this state of limbo.

"As I said, I'll share you for now, Zayn." I finally said, my voice quiet but resolute. "But I can't do this forever. Eventually, you'll have to choose."

He nodded, the words catching in his throat as he tried to hold back the tears.

"I know," He whispered. "I know."

After I accepted sharing him, I was determined to win him back completely.

Days later
The mood was lighter between us. We were at his hotel room the day after our latest race in Hungary and I surprised him with a little present. A vintage gold ring with a square green stone that I had bought for him before our separation.

"Babe, thanks for the ring. I love it and I love you so much," Zayn said kissing me hard. "Alright. So, what do you want to do today? We have the day off and we can go wherever you want," he said pecking me once again on the lips.

I kind of ruined our last weekend together so, I wouldn't be doing the same this time. I knew he was spending this day with me because the day after he was planning to fly to New York.

"I just want to cuddle and... be with you," I said feeling drained and wanting all of his affection.

"Alright. I like that. I'm going to get us something to eat first and, come back to cuddle all day," he said smiling at me and kissing me fondly. "I love you." He repeated.

"Me too," I said.

He ordered some breakfast and he came back to bed where I was waiting for him.

"Are you going to pamper me this way from now on?" I asked him with a smile when after he received the room service and brought the tray to the bed.
