Charlotte's pov

Weeks have passed since Mew's unexpected appearance on Engfa's doorstep that evening, and life has settled into a comfortable rhythm for Engfa and me. Although the memory of that encounter remained in my mind, it seemed a distant echo compared to the warmth and tranquility I found in Engfa's presence.

As we stepped into my new apartment, I was struck by its beauty. Engfa had brought me here to see it for the first time, and I was utterly amazed by what I saw.

Every detail was meticulously thought out, from the elegant furniture to the tasteful decor adorning the walls. I couldn't help but marvel at how perfect everything looked. Engfa watched with a satisfied smile as I wandered through the rooms, taking it all in.

"This is incredible," I exclaimed, turning to Engfa with wide eyes. "I can't believe how beautiful it is."

Engfa simply nodded, her expression warm with affection. "I'm glad you like it," she replied softly.

I smiled gratefully at her, feeling touched by her generosity. "You didn't have to go to all this trouble," I said, gesturing around the beautifully furnished apartment. "I could have furnished it myself. You've already done so much for me."

She smiled warmly at me, her eyes reflecting her sincerity. "I didn't want you to stress about furnishing the place," she explained gently. "I arranged for someone to take care of everything, to decorate and set it all up as quickly as possible."

I chuckled softly, shaking my head in disbelief at Engfa's incredible gesture. "You're completely insane, you know that? I said with a hint of amusement in my voice. "But in the best possible way. Thank you so much, Engfa. I really don't know how to thank you, for all this." Gratitude filled my words as I looked into her eyes, sincerely touched by her kindness.

As we unpacked and arranged my belongings, I couldn't help but steal glances at Engfa. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and happiness that I hadn't felt in a long time. With each passing moment, my appreciation for her grew deeper. Despite Engfa not often vocalizing her feelings, her actions spoke volumes.

The way she went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and happiness in this new space touched me deeply. It was in these small gestures that I found myself falling for her even more, my heart swelling with gratitude and affection.

As Engfa returned to work, I had a few days to myself to settle into the new apartment. I busied myself with finalizing the decor, adding personal touches that made it feel more like home.

Photographs with friends, snapshots of beloved pets I missed dearly – each addition brought warmth and familiarity to the space. Excited to share my new home, I invited Marima over. It had been too long since we'd seen each other, and I looked forward to catching up and showing her around.

As Marima joined me on the balcony, her eyes widened in amazement at the breathtaking view of New York spread out before us. She couldn't help but remark on the beauty of my apartment, expressing her awe at the stunning surroundings.

"Char, this is insane," she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine admiration. "I can't believe you've managed to find such a gem in the heart of the city. And that view... it's absolutely breathtaking."

"It's all because of Engfa," I replied, a little shyly. "I feel like I'm benefiting from her generosity, but I'm determined to repay her in any way I can, even if she refuses."

Marima settled down next to me, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere, and remarked, "Engfa must really like you," offering me a warm smile.

Blushing slightly, I nodded in agreement with Marima's observation. "I'm incredibly grateful to have her," I confessed softly. "Her presence brings me so much comfort."
