It has been a few months since Rosé and Sofia worked together on a song. She started to wonder why she couldn’t stop thinking about her, but then her phone rang, and to her surprise, it was Sofia messaging her on Instagram. She was confused, of course, but decided to say hi as they conversed more while Rosé wondered what Sofia wanted until she admitted that she wanted to be friends with her, which amused Rosé as she replied, “Aren’t we already friends?” to which Sofia apologized, and Rosé smiled at that. She could imagine Sofia saying this, making her heart flutter a bit as they continued talking to one another as they shared their contact number so they could talk there better.
Their conversation continued as they started to talk about random things that happened in their days, and Rosé was enjoying talking to her, which was being noticed by everyone, but no one talked about it except for her three best friends, of course. It happened when the four of them were hanging out at Jisoo and Hae-In’s house in Korea, where they talked about stuff, and during that, Rosé got a text notification from Sofia and started texting while smiling along the way, not noticing the girls were watching her. “Why are you smiling like that?” was the question, and Rosé looked up to see who asked and saw that it was Jisoo who was wearing a grin on her face. “Sofia just texted me something funny,” she replied, but the girls weren’t convinced. “Oh, so you and Sofia are text mates now,” Lisa teased as Rosé rolled her eyes. “There’s nothing with that, Lisa,” Rosé said in annoyance. “We know that, Rosie, but it’s just when you found out who it was that your smile became big.” Jennie said as Rosé looked at her, confused. “What do you mean by that, Jennie?” she asked, but before Jennie could say anything, Jisoo spoke. “Well, Chaeng, it’s because you look like one of these two when they’re texting one another,” she tells Rosé as she takes a bite of a snack.
Hearing that shocked Rosé, as Jennie stared at Jisoo. “Unnie, you do know that you’re the same when you text Hae-In when we’re together.” Jennie retorted, but before Jisoo could say something, Rosé spoke. “Me and Sofia are just friends; ok, there’s nothing wrong with that,” she said, defending herself and seeing that the girls decided to let it go, and Rosé was thankful for that but couldn’t stop thinking of what they had said. She then decided to ignore what the girls had said as there was nothing wrong and then gets a text from Sofia telling her that they will have to stop talking to each other for now since she’s going to shoot for a reality show and will be busy and was apologizing for it while Rosé tells her that it’s fine and she knows her number anyways, and that was the end of their conversation.
It has been a month, and Rosé, in her boredom, tried dating again, and most of the women were girls that Jennie or her friends matched her with, but it was boring, and it ended with them only getting to the first date and sometimes sleeping with each other on the first date, which bored her. Before, she was a bit afraid of being seen with girls that she was dating, but now she isn’t since she revealed she liked girls last year, much to the amusement of her fans, who knew and were right about it. She thought of the memes and tweets she’ll see in her secret Twitter account, but all of them are funny, and she’ll have a laugh at that. And right now she’s currently on a date with someone Jennie matched her up with, who, from what she remembered, was a photographer, and she was nice and enjoyed the date, but she knows how that’ll end, so she decided to be chill about it. And she was right. After the next few days, the girl wasn’t answering her texts and couldn’t be available to go on another date, and Rosé wasn’t affected as she’s used to it and decided to watch TV or something until her phone rang.
She grabbed her phone, and to her surprise, it was Sofia and a text saying hi with a cute sticker on it, making Rosé smile for a bit. She replied and asked her how the show was, to which Sofia replied back and said that it will be premiering now and asked if Rosé wants to watch it, and she replied yes to Sofia, who then started calling her, and Rosé couldn’t help but blush at seeing and hearing Sofia’s face and voice again and wondered why she wanted to FaceTime with her until Sofia revealed that she wanted to see Rosé’s reaction when she watches it, and hearing that amused Rosé and indulged her in what she wanted. And for Rosé, the show was great and funny, and she was glad she was able to understand thanks to her Japanese lessons and thanked Sofia. Then Sofia said maybe it would be better if they continued talking like this, and that surprised Rosé, who nodded as it was easier, plus she doesn’t mind staring at Sofia’s face all day either, not that she would admit it.
