YOU PLACED THE BAKED treats into the display case, wiping your forehead. "finally done.." you muttered as you adjusted your apron. you made your way towards the window, admiring the beautiful day.

'maybe megumi will be available when i get off of work? i still wanna try out that new place..' you thought to yourself. "hm?" the area began to darken, almost looking like nighttime. your co-worker came from the back, having noticed the sudden darkness. "is this what daylight savings feels like?" they joked. you let out a giggle as you walked outside.

you looked up at the sky. it was only turning noon..how'd it get dark so fast? you has the sudden realization, remembering what megumi told you. "ohh, so this is a veil!" you spoke, pretty intrigued with how it looked and worked.

"NUE!" a voice exclaimed from nearby. you were suddenly lifted up by a flying creature. you gasped in surprise, looking down. your eyes widened. there was another creature!

you were set safely onto the roof. "m-megumi!" you shouted, noticing him in the distance. he looked at you, a determined look on his face. "please, stay up there, n/n! there are curses crawling all over this place..i'll talk to you soon!"

you watched as megumi fought the curses. he wasn't alone either; he fought alongside a girl and another boy.

sparkles and stars were in your eyes. "he's so cool!" you said, smiling. your happiness was cut short as you heard low growling from behind you. you turned, seeing another one of the curses. before it could attack you, however, the same creature that brought you onto the roof attacked it. the curse died within seconds.

the darkness soon disappeared, revealing the sun once more. you hopped down from the roof, your heart racing. megumi rushed over to you, instantly embracing you. "are you okay?" he asked. you smiled. "yeah, i'm good. just a little spooked, heh" you replied.

"that's a relief..at least you're not hurt." megumi gave a small smile, holding onto your hands. "ooo~ fushiguro~! is that your girlfriend?" the boy and girl spoke, teasing your boyfriend.

a subtle blush appeared on megumi's cheeks as he turned to them. "will you both be quiet??" he said, wacking the boy on the head. you simply giggled as megumi told off the two of them, obviously flustered.
