YOU COUGHED AS NAOYA released his grip on your throat. "and you're meant to be a grade 2?" he spoke, crouching down to your level. "then again, women aren't meant to be all that strong anyways..they always need a strong man to cling onto."

you rubbed your neck. naoya grabbed onto your face, forcing you to look at him. "at least you're pretty" he said, a grin on his face as he stood up.

"cmon, get up, n/n! you look so pathetic on the floor like that!" you sent a glare as you stood, dusting off your clothes.

"as of today, you will be wed to naoya zenin. this marriage will create an alliance between the zenin and l/n clans."

you looked towards your parents as the tailor adjusted your wedding dress. "what's he like?" you asked.

"he's a nice boy, very powerful!" "please, treat him well..i don't know what'll happen to our clan if you don't.." you gave a small smile. "i won't let you down!" you spoke.

your parents weren't lying about naoya being nice. in fact, he was just..lovely! he made you feel comfortable in the zenin clan. if the marriage wasn't already arranged, you most likely would've married him anyways.

at least, that's what you thought before. naoya was only putting on a show for the families. it was often that he'd berate and abuse you behind closed doors.

he'd call you weak and use your gender against you, usually saying that being a woman is a reason for your lack of strength.

if you had the chance, you'd divorce him and marry someone from a different clan.

"we have a meeting, try to keep up" naoya spoke, resting a hand on your waist. the two of you left the room, heading towards the main area of the zenin residence.

if all you had to do was push a button to get out of this..

"please, treat him well..i don't know what'll happen to our clan if you don't.."

you let out a quiet sigh. you wouldn't push it. no matter how badly you wanted to. you loved your parents too much, and you didn't want to be the reason your clan fell apart.

you stood under the awning, watching as the rain hit the ground. you fiddled with your wedding ring, releasing a sigh.

naoya came from behind you, placing his hands over yours. "must you always look so sad? you're a zenin now, learn to smile!" he said as he rested his head on your shoulder.

"right..sorry.." you mutter. you tensed up when you felt naoya's lips press against the back of your neck. you looked at him, a tint of pink on your cheeks. "n-naoya.."

his hand came up to your
throat, starting to squeeze. "no more talk. you've denied me along enough, even on our honeymoon. please, be a good girl and do as i say" naoya said, his tone sweet yet threatening.

you didn't say anything, opting to just stare at him in shock. was he seriously asking this out where everybody could hear if they listened close enough?

"don't look at me like that..women should want to pleasure their husband. you should especially be honored.." his hands were then placed on your hips, pulling you closer to his chest.

you were still speechless. you managed a slow nod, even though you didn't want to. naoya grinned as you both headed back to his room.

you really hated being here. you would rather not being born at all if it meant that you could avoid this..
