"Luna, what are you doing here?" Luke was almost as startled as I was. Almost.
"I don't know. How is this even possible?" I asked. Suddenly his eyes grew wide with terror. Luke slid down to the floor, and covered his head with his hands. He shook his head, then looked up at me. "Stupid.Stupid. Stupid." He mumbled in realization.
"We never ended the board."
"What?"
"The Ouija board. We never said 'goodbye'."
I sat criss crossed beside him, not knowing what to say.
"Is that bad?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders.
"It could be, Luna. We basically left the spirit world door right open. Who knows what could have gotten out."
"But Luke, how am I here?"
"You're connected to the board, you must have been thinking of it or something, and just thinking of it must have been 'the door'."
I wasn't thinking of the board, I was thinking of him.
Before I could say anything, a woman pushed open the door.
"Luke, dinner is-what is that doing here?"
For a moment, I thought she was talking about me. She walked over to Luke's desk, and grabbed the Ouija board.
"How many times have I told you to get rid of this thing, Luke? You know how it makes you feel. You know what it does to you. The meds won't work if you-"
"Calum couldn't keep it anymore, mum, and I know, the spirits-"
"For the millionth time, there are no spirits!" In anger, she stormed out of the room, taking the board with her.
A part of me felt like laughing, how could she say that with me standing right here? A spirit. A real spirit. In the flesh. ..okay, maybe not that last part. Luke balled his fists, and tightened them so hard they turned white.
"Luke?"
"She never believes me. It's all in my head,"
"Luke, calm down."
"All in my head?!" He was angry, crushed.
"Luke."
"What?" He turned to me, and I smiled weakly at him, setting my hand on his shoulder.
"If it makes you feel any better, I believe you."
His shoulders relaxed, and he smiled a small smile at me. His blue eyes looked like a calm sea, as a tide of tears began to form.
"Thanks, Luna, the friendly ghost." He smiled.

Ashton's POV

It's been almost three hours since Luna disappeared. I've searched the entire hospital, at least ten times. Every nook, every cranny. She was no where to be seen. I sat on top of the roof, worried. Where could she possibly be? It hit me, I've searched everywhere but the basement.

"Luna, you down here?" I whispered.
"I'm here."
"Luna? Where are you?"
"I'm not Luna, Ashton. You know that."
"What did you do with Luna?"
I turned around in a circle, unaware of which direction the voice of the thing was coming from.
"She left, Ashton."
"What do you mean?"
"She left. They all leave, you know that. First your mother, then Liz..."
I could feel my chest start to ache as if I were alive. Memories of Liz suddenly consumed my thoughts.
"Shut up, you don't know anything."
"I know everything, Ashton. Everything. I also know that your 'accident'...wasn't an accident."
