luke was in the conference room after a case, doing paperwork when emily walked in, a folder under her arm as she took her seat.

"what are you doing here so late?" she asked her new team member, she knew something was going on between luke and isa but they didn't seem to want to talk about it and isa didn't like being pushed.

"im drowning in paperwork." luke let out a small laugh as he looked up from his work, emily was sat across the table from him, too busy in her own work to notice he was looking at her.

luke knew he had to focus on work, on catching scratch and all the other escaped convicts but all he could think about was the girl that seemed to have hated him. there wasn't a minute that went by that he wasn't thinking about isa de angelo.

"is anyone else still here?" he scratched the back of his head and watched emily meet his gaze, a slight playful smile on her lips. "just us," she started and it seemed like there was more to come, "and isa, she's at her desk last time i checked." luke tried not to look like he cared.

but that wasn't true, of course he cared. he had spent the past year thinking about isa, wondering where she went. when he woke up the next day, and she was gone, part of him blamed himself. he didn't really fall in love easily but he was obsessed with isa, from that first day they met. he could still remember the ribbon she had in her hair, the way he pulled it out and the way he kept it, even after a year, he still had it and now it was burning a hole in his pocket.

"i- i have to go to the bathroom." luke got up, putting his pen in between his files as emily hummed a response, "you do that." it was obvious that she didn't believe him. he walked out of the conference room, surprised when he found isa because she wasn't at her desk, she was at the wall of honor.

he recognised her by her thick black hair that hung between her shoulder blades, her black mini skirt and the back of her lace black vest. she didn't hear the conference door shut, she didn't heart him walk up to her, too stuck in her own mind.

he looked over her shoulder and saw three people, side by side, alex di angelo, madeline di angelo and halo di angelo. two women and a man, halo looked roughly the same age as isa while alex and madeline could have been a few decades older than the girl in front of him.

"my name, what's my name?" that was the first thing she asked him, after he had introduced himself to her, asking her for her name. she refused to give it to him, he had to earn it.

"if you take ten shots with me, i might give you a hint." he found her alone at the bar, she was supposed to be with a friend but he got too drunk, too soon and had to go home which meant she was all by herself until luke approached her.

"ten shots? is that supposed to be a challenge?" he was being cocky, he knew it, he wasn't as young as she was but he was going to try to keep up.

"if you puke first, you won't get my name. and if, by some miracle, i puke before you, ill tell you my name."

neither of them ever made it that far, they got more and more drunk and by the time the game of truth or dare started, she gave him her name, she leaned over, her breath smelt like tequila and cherry gum when she spoke, "my name is isa di angelo."

luke was hypnotized right there, it might have been the alcohol or how close they were to one another, but he couldn't get enough of isa di angelo.

"hey stalker." she turned to him before he could say anything, walking away as he followed after her, like a true stalker. "i was actually just going to the bathroom when i saw you." the return of that stupid lie.

"you don't look like you're going to the bathroom," she threw herself on her seat, it swayed slightly under her weight as she picked up her black ball point pen, putting the back of the pen between her teeth.

"what are you doing this weekend?" luke asked, completely ignoring her previous comment and pushing his lie to the back of his head. she thought about it for a second, "well, tonight arch and i are getting wasted and falling asleep on the couch while watching christmas movies." he nodded, decent plans.

"tommorow?"

"going to see bride of frankenstein with reid."

"sunday?"

"brunch with the girls," she leaned back in her seat as she looked over at him, "what's with the third degree, stalker?"

"im not a stalker."

"you act like one and now you're starting to sound like one." she had a teasing smile on her face when she spoke. she really liked annoying him and he would be lying if he said he didn't like it either.

"it's just that, you seem pretty popular around here." in the few days that luke had been with the bau, in the fbi headquarters, he hadn't met a single person that didn't know isa di angelo. he didn't meet a single person who didn't have something good to say about her.

isa is a heaven sent.

isa is the smartest person i know.

once isa took after my cat for a week when i was in the hospital.

meeting isa is like winning the lottery.

isa is the nicest

that reminded him of the girl he met, the one who played with roxy when he took her to his apartment, the one who told him they should brush their teeth before the even kissed, the girl who smiled at him as they layed under his covers for ten minutes before even doing anything. it definitely wasn't the girl who was sat across from him right now.

"is there a question in there somewhere?" she furrowed her brows, she didn't like luke and he had no idea why she hated him that much. what did he do to her? did she not enjoy the night as much as he did, did she just not like him as much as he had liked her?

"just a statement," he moved over to his desk, he had to read her to know her. what was her body language telling him, that was the question he asked himself as he sat down at his desk.

she seemed to sink into her seat, her pen going back between her lips every now and then, a sign of nerves along with her foot that hasn't stopped tapping on the floor since she sat down. all signs pointed to her being nervous around him, or maybe she was just nervous in general, he didn't know her, he wished he did.

"alvez, di angelo, we have a case." emily's voice tore his eyes away from isa who was already on her feet, "there goes my plans." she mumbled as she went up the stairs, following emily into the conference room, luke following after the two women, in a none stalker way of course.
