Half of his conscience had been bugging him about being a good man who could own up to his mistakes, the other half was his OCD trying to tell him that's he's still a horrible man even if he DOES take her out to a date.
Remembering how truthful her words were about having to change his attitude; Astreanova might have a solution to his ongoing mental condition. He wanted to know how it feels like to spend a day with her and not worrying about anything.
'Yeah, a date. I will pick you up at 10 am tomorrow and it will be a long day. You're free to wear anything you want as long as you remain your elegant self.' Kyouya spoke smoothly. His grey eyes remained fixated on her.
Oh, how I've longed to touch her long, silky black hair of hers.
What if she doesn't feel the same, Kyouya? The OCD part of him whispered in his head.
Then I'll leave her alone after the date ends. We'll just be classmates.
Guys like me... don't deserve a happy ending, don't I? He lamented.
Astrea turned away as she was ready to bolt and leave the scene. But she needed to give him an answer, so she stopped her tracks and said,
'As long as you promise you'll drop the attitude, see you tomorrow then.'
She left in a hurry.
Kyouya stared at the tall, slender figure wearing a white gym skirt leaving the library. He grimaced in embarrassment for a second, realizing the deed he had proposed even though it went just a planned.
He immediately called Tamaki and when the blonde answered to his call, Kyouya anxiously spoke,
'I have a date with her tomorrow, Tamaki. Help me, please.'
Tamaki grinned, knowing that his best friend is anxious and slowly growing up to be a real man.
'Don't worry Kyouya! I'm gonna help you plan tomorrow's date in a jiffy! Commencing operation Kyouya's romantic date with Astrea ASAP!'
'Oh boy....'
Astrea counted the months and days left before final exams and realized there's still some time to cram a lot of the subjects together and revise. She decided to just take a breather on the weekend and just go on that date with the third Ootori son tomorrow. Suddenly she felt her stomach turning to knots, realizing she would have to spend a day with the guy she previously hated.
I wonder why he asked me out, out of all people. Don't he have other suitors?
She realized other suitors are not competitors or someone that could buy and take over the Ootori group. The girl sighed and went to bed, refusing to think too much. She could pass it off as just another hangout session with Kyouya. It's no big deal.
The next day, Astrea woke up realizing she did not plan a single outfit for the day and it got herself freaked out in a hot minute. She only had less than 2 hours to get ready for the date. She immediately went for a quick shower, shaved too just in case and she got her hair dry and styled in a simple korean wavy perm as it complimented her features more. She decided to go with a black halter top with a collar, a white pleated short skirt and a silver sling bag to store her wallet and lady cigarettes.
Looking at the mirror, the skirt accentuated her slender and long legs. She had one of the servants do her makeup, that was done in a more natural romantic look with a gradient red liptint. Last but not least, Astrea chose to put on a bit of flirty perfume which was Mon Paris by YSL.
'Alright, I'm set. Thank you for helping me.' Astrea complimented her servants and smiled gently.
'It is my duty to keep you prim and proper, my lady. I'm sure the lucky guy would be enchanted to see you.' The old lady smiled.
Hah. Talk about lucky.
Astrea bid goodbye nicely to servant and noticed there was a black limousine waiting at the gates. It was 10 am sharp when she entered the vehicle and noticed there he was, Ootori Kyouya, who was sitting alone, crossing his legs with a cup of tea on his hand.
'There you are. Good morning, Astreanova.' He smiled, being a bit snarky despite he was the one asking her out on a date.
'Good morning, Kyouya.' Astrea ignored the snide; noticing how different his appearance was as she took her seat across him.
His jet black hair was perfectly styled to made him look like an eligible bachelor at 19 years old. He switched his glasses to a more formal one, with a gold plating that complimented his sharp features. He was wearing a white collared shirt with gold trimmings on the collar, matched with black trousers that looked sleek on his slender legs.
'Be at ease as you are my date for today.' He spoke cordially.
Oh, only for today. There must be a lot of girls in his roster. She thought to herself.
'By that I mean, the only date I have throughout my high school years.' As if he could read her mind, he clarified everything.
'Oh wow, and here I thought this is your monthly routine with girls.' Astrea remarked before leaning back against the seat.
'You just learned something new about me then.' Kyouya sighed.
'I have never asked a girl out without it being business related. By that I mean the host club. I prefer staying to be an accountant, but little by little, I hosted once in a while. I had to make a fake promise to our loyal customers that I would go out with them. But that's it.'
'I see.' Astrea continued eating her food.
While she was eating, Kyouya suddenly remembered the real reason why he brought her out for a date.
'We might as well address the elephant in the room.' He brought out the topic.
'I was waiting for your call.' She sipped her earl grey tea in a delicate porcelain cup.
'I believe I know how to stop the merging of our companies.' Kyouya spoke, knowing that he studied infinite possibilities the previous night.
'Let's hear a word or two from the genius.' Astrea taunted and smiled, crossing her legs.
'Hear me out....'
The car began to move slow and steadily. The two were silent during the ride, with Astrea staring aimlessly out of the window, wondering what sort of plans does he have in store. Sometimes Kyouya stole a glance to look at her and lowkey studying the meaning of her clothing. It's as if she lowkey knew wearing a skirt would catch his attention.
They ended up a bit far away from the city and it was a fancy restaurant by the seaside. The two talked about every topic there is that is relevant to their lives. At some point, they look very comfortable with one another while hiding their true intentions.
"So, even a serious person like you wouldn't mind managing the host club because you crave control. Isn't that right?"
"I have no objections to that statement. It seems you have known me more than I do about myself." Kyouya smiled.
"You are a honest man, Kyouya. You could go far, fly even higher, but not under your father's wings." Astrea commented.
It was something that he had thought about himself. His future under the Ootori Group. The suspected CEO. His eldest brother is now taking his own path to start a new company, of course his father would target Kyouya once and for all.
"I would like to dream as far as I can too." He admitted.
Maybe this life is just more than having control on a lot of things.
It seems that I have a girl who understands this side of me now.
Kyouya thought to himself.
He initially didn't want to talk about the company rivalry that his father told him off before.
Yet, little did the Ootori son knew that this would be his first and final date with Astreanova. They even went to art galleries and museums together. The two had a great date to sum it up, but his father had sent a few espionages to observe his son and the corporate enemy's daughter, and Kyouya wasn't pleased with that.
He knew his father's men have been disguising themselves as tourists, yet he played along, while thinking of strategies to do next.
