Great.

Just great.

All I could do was laugh.

Some random Primordial goddess-lady-thing was claiming to be my mother.

The two women watched me warily as I giggled like a psychiatric patient in a straight jacket.

I was seriously starting to feel insane.

My head was spinning in time with the throbbing in my stomach. A sharp laugh escaped my lips as I stumbled forward.

"Your daughter!? My parents are supposedly dead, lady. I'm the last of my race!"

I said, trying to ignore the similarity between Achelois's blue eyes and mine.

Bia stormed toward me, "That is no way to speak to your mother!"

Her light blue eyes seemed to glow.

"Bia! That is our daughter! Lower your voice, she's confused," Achelois hissed, stepping forward.

"(Y/n), I know it may not make sense right now, but-"

"Confused!?! Of course, I'm confused! I mean, you two have been speaking in my mind and being all cryptic and now you claim to be what, my mother-s?!?"

I held onto the last syllable, "That doesn't make any sense! How would that make me!?"

My chest heaved from yelling, and I watched the goddesses share an awkward glance.

"(Y/n). When two people love each other, they-"

"Don't."

I warned, stopping Achelois in her tracks, "I meant, how am I an Antigrafo if you two aren't? And if you're telling the truth, what does that make me?"

I was starting to feel like one of those Frankenstein dolls, a little bit human, a little bit possible goddess, a little bit mythical creature that shouldn't exist.

"Anything can happen with the Greeks, girl. Take Pegasus; he was born from the severed head of Medusa. And Athena's children are practically imagined," Bia muttered, her eyes still cold.

Achelois stepped forward, placing her hand on my shoulder, "Lourraine was about to lose a daughter, and you wouldn't have been safe with us. She did a great job raising you, though, but in truth, Bia and I are your parents."

I shrugged her hand off, "No, I can maybe accept the fact you gave birth to me. But you will never be my mothers."

That's reserved for my real mom.

No matter what, Lourraine would always, always be my actual mom.

"As for what you are regarding Greek blood, it's a little hard to define having your mother and I from different lines, being a titan and primordial. The closest title would have to be a goddess."

I dropped to the floor, squeezing my head between my knees.

This can't be happening.

Achelois took a step closer to me, but I held out my hand, stopping her.

"Don't. I might throw up on you." I whispered, tucking my head back between my knees.

What in Hades was going on?

I lifted my head, feeling as if the very shrine floor beneath me was beginning to spin. I felt pathetic hiding, but honestly, I couldn't think of any other options.

Me? A Goddess?

If anything, the title made me sound like some sort of monster, which only made me curl into myself further.
