"..." Alaric lays in bed, staring into nothingness, the news of his mentor and master, Pilphar, reaching him. He looked on and on at the letter, his will, as if... He knew this would happen.
"Alaric! Come on, please open up!" Says none other than Kristene, as Lilia stood there, holding Lucia.
"Alaric!" She called out to him once more.
"It's no use. You've seen what he's like. He speaks highly of Pilphar, he's the closest thing he had to a capable father. I'm sure you've remembered my stories of how we got here, right?" Lilia wondered as Kristene sighed,
"He did sound like a good man," Kristene admits, the crying of Lucia ongoing, she took the baby into her arms, her red eyes still apparent.
"I... I don't want to see him like this. He has loving partners and a family, he shouldn't close himself off like this!" Kristene showed her slight annoyance, as Lilia sighed,
"It isn't that simple. Pilphar died, Kristene. He isn't here anymore and that hurts him more than losing a real family member." She explained, as suddenly the door opened, and Alaric stepped out, his blonde hair in a long mess and his eyes heavy as if weighed down by emotions.
"..." Alaric is silent, he didn't want them to see him like this... But it's about time to say,
"Sorry..." He said, wiping the tears from his eyes,
"I... I know... That I'm being selfish... B-But..." Alaric soon was overwhelmed with tears, as Kristene held him in one of her arms, as Lucia looked at the man... Is this her father?
"Hn..." Lucia was almost about to cry as well, as Alaric looked at the girl before him, patting her head,
"Sorry, that daddy looks like a mess, Lucia." Alaric smiled at least, as Kristene explained,
"We're all here for you, Alaric. Your wife and your husband. We ALL are here for you." Kristene kissed the man on the cheek, whipping the tears with the hanging cloth on her arms, Alaric sighed, reinforcing himself for the day.
"Sigh... Sorry. I'm just so... Pilphar was-"
"We know." Kristene quiets him,
"Just... We know." She ends it at that, as in a few hours later...
"A-Ah, Master Alaric..." Says a few assistants of his, the B-Rank member opening the door wearing the uniform of the Magic Guild.
"..." Alaric was focused on making... Enhancement Items. Using items, a stone, fueled by magic the Enhancement Items are just Magic Items.
"Bring me whatever magic stones you can find," Alaric ordered, as the various lower-ranked members nodded. He had 5 in total, as they rushed... And Alaric stood there with a few at his disposal.
"This one enhances your defensive capabilities, summon force fields to block incoming attacks. This one grants greater speed, this one healing, the blue one for moving stuff, and the last one to fire beams to pierce even Touki." The magician explained, that as Alaric was then seen in a forge, the metals he had were melted, molded into a bar, hammered, shared, and so much more. The magicians are in awe, of the five saw experience they didn't expect of Alaric. When working under Pilphar, he was trained to become a potential blacksmith. He took time to work on jewelry now and then alongside making stone-carved drawings for the rich.
"..." Alaric then placed the jewel inside the framed piece, a circle of metal surrounded the gemstone, as this was the first time making these.
"..." And Alaric stared at a member,
"Fire a Fireball Spell at me," Alaric ordered, as the mage nodded, incanting the spell, it took a few seconds... But...
"Fireball!" They say, as Alaric triggers the effects, a dangling keychain hangs from his fist, as...
