Chapter 14 - Awhile

It's been quite a bit since the mourning of Pilphar, as in a nice bath, Kristene is there with him, messaging his back.

"Thank you, Kristene..." Alaric thanked her, feeling better than before.

"No problem, Alaric. We are your partners, we should all help one another." She explained as she brushed the man's hair afterward, long and to his back, halfway, and he had it all nice and managed.

"But... I have to ask you, why the long hair?" Kristene wondered, never seeing a man have it so long before. Alaric thinks about what to say, unsure of how to explain it,

"It's... Just a preference, I guess? I will cut it soon, though. Maybe after the passing of Pilphar... I should do it to pay respects to him." Alaric explained, Kristene blinked a bit, as she chuckled, never understanding a lot of what he explained.

"But..." Kristene suddenly grew interested, placing her chest onto the man, as he froze,

"We haven't had quality time together since Lucia was born... I think it'll help~" She rubbed once more, and about an hour later, the pair exited the bathroom.

It has been a week since the news came out, Alaric having a VERY nice gift in the form of a week or two vacation, was living the dream. As much of a dream as a married man with two amazing partners can go and a daughter as healthy as can be.

But then... Something happened.

"Alaric!" Says... Lilia?

"Huh? Lilia, what's going on?" Alaric wondered as the red-haired maid of the home held a letter.

"It's from Rudeus! He's inviting the entire household to his wedding party!" Lilia said, alarming Alaric. He didn't think... No, he didn't expect it to be soon!

"R-Really?" Kristene is excited, despite not speaking to him so much, she'd love to get to know her brother-in-law.

"Alaric! We gotta get prepared for the party!" August is seen grabbing some clothes, and some fancy stuff too.

"H-Hold on now, should we get dressed up fancy? If so, we can stop by a store, right?" Alaric wondered, as coming into the hall,

"HAHAHA! Rudeus is getting married, eh!?!" Sauros is also seen fitting on a vest of his own, black in color, with a white dress shirt under it as black pants made him look as snazzy as ever.

"But I am disappointed, I was hoping for my little girl to marry the boy! Eh, oh well..."

"I'm sure she'll understand, Sauros." Alaric chuckled, as a few minutes later...

"Oh wow..." Kristene is seen wearing a nice gown of white and gold, black managed to separate the colors and Alaric wears a suit of white and gold as well.

"We're seriously wearing clothes fit for royalty, huh?" August is seen also wearing something similar to Sauros, as Lilia liked the green dress she had before.

"And let's not forget me!" Aisha wears a new dress, pink and white, she is truly a princess.

"And..." Kristene holds Lucia, as she has a small band around her forehead, and she tries to take it off PLENTY of times.

"Does this make me look fat, August?" June is also seen there, wearing a corset with a short skirt and some boots, not a fancy gal, but formal at best.

"We're going to a party for my husband's brother, make it at least an effort to look good." August scolds her, as June chuckles,

"Then gimme a nice dinner at the tavern, and maybe I'll-"

"It's alright, June." Lilia stopped her, and minutes later, the family opened the doors. They walked in, Alaric seeing familiar faces.
