Alaric sharpened his blade... He never used it on enemies in a hot minute, as the anxiety of things boiled in his chest.

"We promise you we'll all be fine, dear." Kristene smiled but was weak due to her own in-law's life being on the line.

"... I know. But... I don't want to leave you all and... Not come back. I know my status as a Water King is a title that symbolizes my strength... But I've NEVER faced the monsters at the Begaritt Continent, one of the most dangerous ones yet.

He discussed the matter with Rudeus and Elinalise. Both of which are going to the continent with him.

"..." Alaric is... Scared, though. The message seemed dire and it takes age for a letter to reach whoever it is being sent to. What if they don't make-

No. Alaric can't think of that right now. The members are S-ranked adventurers. More skilled in the arts than even Alaric. He can't think of them lightly.

Even if Paul is a little douchebag but that's beside the point.

But eight whole months... Alaric feared many things. His sanity mostly knowing he's leaving behind a lot... He stopped, before turning to Kristene.

"Kristene." Alaric turned to her, as... Well.

"I love you. You and August," he said, holding the woman,

"... I know. Even as time passes it grows ever so stronger... I couldn't have lived in this world without a man like you." She smiled, as Alaric chuckled,

"I will come back safely. With Paul and my mother." Alaric vowed, and Kristene kissed the man, as she stated,

"Then don't disappoint us. We'll all be waiting for you." She smiled, and, well...

"... Stay safe. Alright?" August is seen hugging the man, the one and only, as Alaric hugs him back.

"I will, don't you worry," Alaric stated as everyone was there.

"Big Brother... Please, stay safe, okay?" Aisha hoped, as Alaric nods,

"I will, Aisha. I will bring back your dad and Zenith, alright?" Alaric made it clear to the girl as she nodded. Farewells were made with everyone around. Alaric felt like he wasn't going to see them again... But their words of encouragement were more than enough to solidify his resolve.

He will come back one way or the other.

...

...

...

"Alaric!" Sounded the voice of...

"Elinalise is here," Alaric explained, grabbing some boxes filled with frozen meats and the such.

"..." Everyone is silent, tense at the boy's departure, Alaric stared at Lucia as they fixed up the horses with everything they'd need.

And the third horse was ready to go, standing there, awaiting the order.

"Hey, you two ready?" Elinalise wondered, moments passed as Alaric patted his blade, Frostbite on his side.

"Yeah. I think I am." He explained as moments passed... Campfires were gloomy but the food was good... As time went on, they arrived and the man hired to take care of the horses took his leave.

They stood in front of a forest, before walking into it.

"Found it. This is the monument we were looking for, right?" Elinalise wondered as Alaric was given information that they'd use a teleportation circle to enter the city of Labyrinth, Rapan.
