The hedgehog duo arrive on Chaos Island, Shadow re-forms as the Emeralds scatter again. They are surrounded by volcanic mountains and experience snowy weather.
Shadow: Hmm...What a strange phenomenon this is. Hopefully it won't complicate our search.
Sonic: Listen, you find Egghead while I free Tails.
Shadow: Signal when you're ready, when you've found an emerald. We will find the rest together again.

The huge spider uses all 8 legs to keep the hedgehog under constant pressure. Shadow uses his speed to easily dodge the stomps, then he attacks back. When Azonan tries, an energy wall blocks his attempt. He tries twice more, then observes his opponent.

This "meteorid" hits the center of the spider. After the impact, the whole island is swept by the wave of Shadow's energy he released, the guardian is destroyed, leaving behind another blue gear. Our hero is about to collect his prize when someone grabs it instead
