Sonic and his 2 closest friends go to the Starfall Islands in search of the emeralds, we already know their adventure.
But what if one more person joined the team, helping his rival. Wonder how the story will turn out if one more hedgehog joins them?
The next day, Shadow heads to the GUN base with the completed document.
Shadow: Commander! The report is on the desk!

Commander: Great! You caught Eggman?
Shadow: He's free. We'll have a few days to prepare for the next attack.
Commander: Hmm...Interesting. Let's take a look!
The Commander reads the full report, he learned everything about the Starfall Island mission.
Commander: Huh? An ancient civilization? Those Ancients brought the Chaos Emeralds to Mobius? and...Did the entire Island explode?
Shadow: Unfortunately, yes. We didn't have time to stop the explosion. The inhabitants are now homeless. We've moved them to Angel Island.
Commander: It's not your fault, you did everything you could. What about the others?
Shadow: Tails and Amy are fine, Sonic and Knuckles are not quite. Chaos energy levels are low, but they're surviving.
Commander: Well, it's not surprising when you're fighting a dimensional threat. It's strange that you went alone without Team Dark.
Shadow: Sigh... That's why Rouge came to see me yesterday.
Commander: You could check on them, at least until they wake up.
Shadow: I'm not needed there.
Commander: We would have been lost long ago without you. You need something else.
Shadow: We should start a new project, you could rebuild the Starfall Islands.
Commander: Huh?? How did you imagine? We don't have the budget for such a big project right now.
Shadow: That's no problem. Knuckles got some blueprints of the island's former state. And we can make a deal with Eggman to reduce his sentence. For Sage's sake, maybe he would.
Commander: Hmm...That might work.
We look further away, to an abandoned Egg base. You can hear the rapid tapping of keyboards, only his shadow can be seen.
Eggman: Come on, come on! Almost done...If I remember correctly...I used this.
He punches in a few more combinations. An ancient symbol appears?
