"Fuck! Freaking fuck!!"
There are a lot of annoying things in this world, some more annoying than others.
One of the things on top of the list is the shower running out of water right when you're still covered in soap.
Unfortunately this was the life Jordan had gotten used to.
Jordan stood in front of the fogged-up mirror, the bathroom still echoing with the sound of the dying shower. Droplets of water trickled down his face as he tried to wipe the condensation away to catch a glimpse of himself.
"Aaaand mom didn't pay the water bill.. again"
It's not like it was her fault. She was trying her best to keep the house together and Jordan knew it. Even his sister was trying to work and raise money to keep them going.
With a sigh, he resigned to drying himself off with the towel, the familiar feeling of unease settling in the pit of his stomach.
Just as he wrapped the towel around his waist, he heard the phone ring in tbe hallway, startling him. He groaned at how easily he got scared and trudged towards the hallway. Jordan hesitated, contemplating whether he should answer or just go back to the bathroom and let someone else get it.
