"Momma? Can you read me a bed time story?" A young boy about age 5 asked his mother. She nodded her head and turned her body so she was facing the bookshelf.

"Which one do you want honey?" She asked even though she knew which one her son wanted.

"The one about the half-dragon and half -human race. Please" the boy answered to his mother's raven locks, he got from her and was proud of it.

"Ok sweetly. Get comfy in bed before I tell you it ok?" The mother asked. Getting an eager nod in response, the boy made himself comfy in bed and waited for his mom to start his favourite story.

"Once apron a time, the world was ruled by dragons. Humans worshipped them and there was peace in the world. One day a woman of fine beauty came up to the dragon king to have a wish granted. Dragons were known to change between human form and dragon form. So it took a while to find the dragon king.

'My Lord, why do you not breed with humans when you can blend in so naturally?' The woman asked the king

'I don't know. Are you suggesting we do?' He asked curiously. You see, the dragon race never thought themselves higher or lower than the humans, they just started to praise the dragons one day.

'Yes, if that pleases you, my lord. In fact I can offer myself to you if you want,' the woman suggested.

The dragon king thought about it before shifting back into human form to accept.

A day later, the king sent word out to the rest of the race can start breeding with humans. The dragons were over joyed and set out on a quest. When they go back around half of the population were bred and that was gonna stay that way.

9months later twin boys were born from the woman. The king was disappointed when they come out to look completely like dragons, instead they had tails exactly like their hair color' wings and horns. Couple of weeks later one of the babies died. Desperately the woman found a baby to steal. He had all the qualities he son had so she kept it and didn't tell the dragon king in fear that he would kill her.

A couple of months later, the woman appeared I front of the dragon king again. 'My king! One of your sons have lost their dragon parts! Why did this happen?' She asked frantically. The king looked over the princes and came to this conclusion: the human genes took over the dragon ones. They both were his son's even if one was fully human now, he told the woman. Also following that many humans were reporting the same happening to their children.

17 years later, it was the boys birthday party. Their father and mother were the only two besides them were in the castle. They were enjoying a peaceful walk in the castle grounds when one screamed in pain and fell to the ground. The other said someone was calling out to him and he must go to the person. The king watched interested as son turned, faced his brother and darted for him. His tail was swaying side to side as his brother screamed in agony. Wings, tail and horns sprouted on the screaming boy as the king figured out what was happening: they were mates for life. After he told the mother of the boys, she fessed up on stealing one of them because one of her children died. She was expecting the dragon king to be mad but he wasn't. In fact he already knew about the death of the child.

All around the world the fall dragon race were finding their mates. It was soon found out if you don't make it to your mate within the first 24 hours you would die along with your mate.

A few months later one of the boys had a growing stomach. When the father asked if they mated yet he received embarrassed nods from the boys. The mother almost fainted when she found out that her real son was pregnant and that male dragons can give birth.

Months later, the newest royal member of the family was born. It brought joy throughout the world when the news reached them.

Now all dragons are hiding while gal flings walk the earth. The end. You should get some sleep now son" the mother said to her almost passed out son.
