Chapter 5: Rave gives birth

A couple months passed and now it was summer break Edd was laying down on the couch with only shorts on since the house was so hot. On his chest curled up was Plank. He had lost his wings noting he was the male in the relationship for his future mate. "I can't believe you are already 3 months old Plank" Edd giggled as he rubbed his nephew's cheek gently. 'Why cant time hurry up so I can be done school' Edd thought. A ringing phone cut through his thoughts. "Honey could you get that" Edd asked not wanting to move his nephew. "O.k I got it" Kevin answered. "Oh hey Nat what's up. Uh-huh. What?! We will be right there hang on" Kevin started to sound panicked making Edd sit up and hold onto Plank. "Rave is in the hospital I'm going cause Nat is worried" Kevin replied to the unspoken question that was written all over his face. "I'm coming too Kevin" Edd stood up and grabbed a shirt and the diaper bag for Plank.

They flew to the hospital Edd holding onto Plank since they only had the Motorcycle and Edd would rather be shot than risk the life of his nephew. When they saw Nat worried standing outside of surgery they raced over. "Don't worry Nathan he is in labor. When he comes out you will have a child to look after" Edd tried to sooth his friend. Edd became friends with Rave and Nat over the 3 months since they met. "I know double Dee but what is bugging me is he's been in there a while and when I talked to Dragoon last he said Johnny was in there for only half the time that Rave has been in there for" Nat said with tears staining his face. It was clear he feared losing Rave. "I'm sure James is just fine" Edd said still trying to cheer him up. "Your right" Nat said drying his face with his sleeve.

They waited a bit longer and the nurse came out. "Is he O.k? I need to know" Nat pleaded hoping nothing bad happened. Congratulations Mr. Goldberg You two have twins" the nurse said with a smile. Nat's mouth dropped open. "You're mate will be in room 16 for the time being" the nurse continued then walked off. "Congrats man, twins isn't that rare?" Kevin asked as he patted Nat on the back. "Yes there has had only 4 from our kind has had twins" Edd stated.

The three of them went to the room to wait for Rave. The wait wasn't long before Rave was wheeled into the room holding two bundles. At first when Rave saw Edd holding a sleeping Plank and Kevin he was confused until he realized that Nat more than likely called Kevin because of how long it took in surgery. "Edd, Kevin meet Robyn and Manic" Rave said as he nodded toward the pink and blue blankets he was holding. Their small tails falling out of the blankets. Manic's tail was teal like his dad and Robyn's tail was marbled burgundy with teal. "Another marbled tail they are rare" Edd said as he saw the tails.

Something caught Kevin's attention it was ringing from his pocket. He looked at the phone and saw it was Nazz. "I gotta take this I will be right back" Kevin said as he turned and left the room so he didn't bother the sleeping babies. "Yeah Nazz what's up. Oh you are wondering where I am. I'm at the hospital visiting Nat and Rave. Rave just had twins a boy and a girl" as soon he finished the sentence he heard a squeal from the other end and then the line was cut. "Sorry that was Nazz she was wondering where I was cause there was no answer over at Edd's" Kevin said as he got back in the room.

Not even ten minutes later there was a knock on the door everyone turned to see who it was only to be met by a blonde who was out of breath. "Nazz? why are you here?" everyone asked. "I heard that Rave gave birth I wanted to see the little cuties" came the reply from the blonde. Nazz noticed the blankets and went over to Rave. "What are their names?" she asked interested to know the infants names. "Robyn and Manic" Nat said sitting beside the bed. "You are gonna have the most beautiful hair Robyn. I can't wait for you get older we will be best friends" Nazz smiled after she saw their tails. "I just hope your son don't wear his hair like his father" Nazz said as she shot Nat a glare causing a giggle from Rave. "What's wrong with my hair" the jock asked hands going up to his head. Nazz rolled her eyes. Being both of the jocks friends had benefits to it she decided looking over at Kevin. "We are waiting until Edd finishes school to have our kid" Kevin said before Nazz could open her mouth. She frowned but she understood. Kevin would hate it if he took away Edd's future from him and Nazz knew that. Besides she knew Edd loved school and would always put studies first. The next thing out of Edd's mouth though proved her wrong though.

"Uh, Kevin? actually I've been thinking and I will not be attending college" Edd looked up at Kevin hoping he wouldn't be upset. "Fine then on your 19th birthday then" Kevin sighed. That was a year away still but Edd could manage. Kevin looked over at Nazz who had a look of what the hell just happened on her face. Kevin knew Nazz thought Edd was true to his studies until he finished college but once Edd saw his nephew he has been wanting a kid. He grew attached to his nephew Kevin also since Plank was his nephew as well. Like on cue Plank woke up and started to hapily cooing once he saw Edd and Kevin. "Plank you are here too" Nazz pushed her hands together and went over to the just awoken Plank. "I guess that's our cue we will stop by again Nat" Kevin said. Edd nodded and they walked out of the room Kevin pulling on Nazz. "Does this mean he's the male partner in the relationship?" She asked as they got to the parking lot. Edd nodded and they took off after a quick good bye. Nazz drove home while Kevin and Edd flew.

When they got to Edd's house Edd fed Plank and not long after Dragoon came by to pick his son up. "Are you sure about not going to college?" Kevin asked. Edd nodded and yawned the day was tiring. Kevin chuckled and leaned down catching Edd's lips with his, the kiss only lasted a moment before Kevin broke away. "I will be right up go to bed" Kevin told Edd who nodded sleepily in return. He wondered into his room and fell onto the bed falling asleep after Kevin crawled in and covered them both up with a blanket.

(Dragoon here! Ok a few side notes. Originally I was gonna name Manic Maniac cause come on Nat's his father.... It's bound to happen. I know Nazz is a tomboy but she can still have her girly moments. I'm sure every girl does. Just letting you guys know there will be time skips a lot of them. So as usual comment to tell me things ok? I gotta edit the next chapter so it's readable.)
