Chapter 2:Edd has a brother?!

For the rest of the night Edd filled Kevin in on the history he knew of their species and how to hide their wings and tail and how their eyesight and smell was higher than a human and how others from the same species can smell them. The next day was school and thanks to the briefing that lasted till 4 in the morning they slept in and missed the bus. "Shit Dee, we missed the bus and my motorcycle is out of gas" Kevin said as he stretched and woke the sleeping form beside him. In response all Edd did was flap his wings a bit to remind Kevin he can fly. "Oh" was the only thing Kevin could utter. Double Dee had changed quite a bit since they were kids but he was still lanky. Kevin tried to flap his wings but it was in vein he couldn't get them to move. His tail wagged in frustration as Edd sighed. "I will give you lessons after school so hide your wings I will carry you" Edd sighed as he stretched his wings and grabbed his shirt and stuffed it in Kevin's bag.

They walked out back and Edd started to flap his wings slowly lifting himself of the ground. fastened around Edd's waist was a wagon that held Kevin. Kevin was holding on for his life. The ride to school wasn't long at all, maybe 10 minutes. Kevin was happy to be back on solid ground while Edd hid his wings and put the shirt on. Double Dee grabbed Kevin's hand and stated they were going to be late for class if they didn't start moving. Kevin had to pinch himself to make sure that this wasn't some dream and laced their fingers together.

Lunch seemed to take forever to come but when it did Kevin was out looking for Edd. He found Edd over by himself munching on a salad while Kevin had a craving for meat. After grabbing what he wanted he made his way to his dork and sat down beside him. "How was classes for you?" Kevin asked. "Good I suppose, reminder for a test tomorrow but that's it really" Edd shrugged and took another bite of his salad. Kevin picked up his burger and took a bite and caught Edd staring at all the meat on the tray he had. "M-may I have some this salad is bland and I need some meat" Edd heavily sighed as he wiped some drool from his mouth. Kevin nodded and Edd took some and bit down on the slab of meat. Content of the taste of the meat against his tongue his mouth watered. They started the conversation again until someone from one of the teams sat across from them. "Hi Nat what's up?" Kevin asked looking at who it was. "It's kinda sad that I can smell you two across the school" the teal haired kid stated resting his head on his hand. Kevin looked confused and looked at Edd whose Eyes had turned back to how they were last night, his pupils, slits staring down one of Kevin's friends a low growl admitting from his throat. "Whoa there tiger I'm not here to hurt you, little own kill you but if anyone else in this school smell Kev cause he just awakened, you guys are in trouble" Nat Looked at Kevin and smiled. "Just keep your honeymoon to a minimum at school cause you never know who is after you" Nat said with a wink and left. "Who is he?" Edd asked himself out loud earning a giggle from Kevin. "He is my best friend Nathan Goldberg but everyone calls him Nat" Kevin said around a mouth full of meat. "He is one of us that's why I asked" Edd huffed. 'His eyes are back to normal at least' Kevin thought looking back at Edd.

"Oi Lumpy do you see him?" Eddy asked Ed whom were looking for their sockheaded friend. "I think I do Eddy but he is sitting with Kevin" the oaf answered. "Good now get yourself some toast" Eddy shooed Ed away. "Hey sockhead I need you this afternoon. Its for a scam and this one is priceless but I need your brains. Beat it, Shovelchin" Eddy said trying to push Kevin away from his friend. Kevin didn't move instead he took another bite out of the slab of meat on his tray. "I believe I told you to move" Eddy said as he sat down on the other side of Edd. "Now Eddy you are being jealous of Kevin because he is sitting beside me and is that really necessary?" Edd asked looking at Eddy. Eddy opened his mouth only to be interrupted by Rolf. "Smart Ed boy have you seen Tall Ed boy?" Rolf asked but Edd shook his head. "He's getting toast or gravy or both, who knows" Eddy answered as Rolf nodded and walked toward where Ed was at. Ed joined them after he talked to Rolf his whole face red. Eddy described his scam to the others with Edd refusing to do it. "I have plans with Kevin after school today" Edd said looking at Kevin whom nodded. Eddy sighed and accepted the reality with out asking why for he didn't want to know.
