I started the morning with Percy rushing me out the door, mumbling something about a quest. Or maybe he said quesadilla. Who the fuck knows.
I don't get to complain about it, because Percy is mumbling things to himself, while grabbing my wrist and taking me to our eating area.
As we get closer I realize that a selected amount of people are standing around the camp big fire in the middle of the area. Some of them include, Chiron, Annabeth, Luke... and that's about all the people I know in the circle.
I yawn and rub my eyes, feeling everyone else's eyes on me, "she's here, can we please get started?" Percy asks, as he looks at Chiron.
"Hold up, the hades is going on here? Why did you drag me up from bed just to-" I start to narrow my eyes at Percy, but Chiron cuts me off.
"The Oracle has confirmed what we expected" he announces, in his very wise voice, "that this quest will proceed towards the underworld. Where you will confront the god who had rebelled against his brothers" so basically, that is all I really catch from Chiron. My ADHD infested brain only focused on the part I was most interested in.
The underworld. That word repeats itself in my brain, a thousand times over. Each time it makes me more intrigued than the last, making me want to go. Whatever I do, I need to go on this quest. I need to finally follow to the place my gut has been telling me to go. I need to.
I get drifted out of my thoughts when Chiron says, "...time is short. I have selected out most compelling candidates. From which you will choose two to join you on the quest. And ensure that we succeed-"
"Annabeth" Percy interrupts. That being the first name he calls, slightly makes me frown. I dunno why though. I mean this kid showed up, what, three days ago? Get yourself together Mora.
"Customarily, one waits to hear at least a name or two before choosing" Chiron scolds.
"The thing. Zeuses master bolt, we need to get it back right?" Percy questions. This question caught me off guard as well, this is the first time I am hearing about a lost master bolt. Honestly, I bet that little fucker Zeus just misplaced it. Then proceeded to shit himself and blame everyone for stealing it, then alerting everyone about it. So now we have to waste our time looking for a big ass bolt, when it is probably just in his sock drawer.
