(Readers POV)
Me, Amy, and Tails are all walking around in some kind of jungle area on the island. I was just looking around, trying to find anything interesting. I saw something start to gleam in a bush.
(Y/N): What do we have here?
I walked over to the bush and saw a pretty big green gem. My eyes lit up looking at it.
(Y/N): Shiiiiiiiiiny...
I quickly picked it up and started to carry it inside of my shirt. I wasn't expecting to get something like this out here, but I'll definitely take it.
Amy: Tails. Are you sure Sonia went this way?
Tails: I'm sure she did... It's another question if she stayed.
I started to hear really fast footsteps from a distance getting closer and closer. I looked over at the direction of the footsteps and saw Sonia running over to us.
(Y/N): Tails! Amy! Looks like Sonia found us!
They looked over at me as I pointed at Sonia in the distance. Sonia made it to us and stopped.
Sonia: We need to get outta here, now!
Tails: Huh? Why do we need-
Sonia: Because Eggman is going to make this island blow up any minute!
(Y/N), Tails, and Amy: BLOWS UP?!?!
Sonia: That's what I said!
Tails: I can transform my mech back into its plane form, but it's not going to be easy getting enough space here to get the speed.
Tails pushed some buttons and her mech turned back into a plane. I felt my heart start to beat faster, at the news that I'm on an island that's about to explode. I heard a bunch of crashing, making me look over to see Amy using a giant hammer to knock down trees to make a path way.
Amy: How's this Tails?!
Tails: It's definitely better than nothing! Everyone, get in!
Me, Amy, and Sonia got into the plane as Tails started to make it go forward.
Sonia: Cmon Tails! We don't have much time left!
Tails: The Tornado 2 is going as fast as it can right now! It needs time to gain speed!
Sonia quickly jumped out of the plane and got behind it. She put her hands on the plane as she started to run fast, pushing the plane forward. The plane started to go way faster, slowly leaving the ground. Sonia jumped into the plane, sitting on my lap as Tails pulled up and made the plane fly up into the air. I heard the sound of explosions behind me. I looked back and saw parts of the island exploding. The Tornado 2 managed to fly far enough away that we escaped the range of the explosion.
(Y/N): That was way too close!
I let out a deep sigh and put my hand on my chest, feeling my heartbeat get slower and slower as my adrenaline died down.
Amy: Why would Eggman want to blow up this island?
Tails: Maybe the military was getting in the way of his plans? That's my best bet.
Sonia: No doubt that Shadow girl managed to escape.
I looked at Sonia and noticed that she's sitting on my lap. I felt my face start to heat up, having someone this close to me, especially someone cute. Sonia looked back at me, just making me blush more. Her face showed confusion.
Sonia: You feeling alright?
(Y/N): Y-Yeah! Must be the adrenaline I got from escaping an exploding island!
