"ADELAIDE!" I heard my best friend, Audrey, scream from across our scared apartment. She constantly did this knowing I hated getting up while I'm laying in my bed.

I still got up and made my way to the living room, where she was laying on the floor on her phone.

"What do you need, that's so important?" I said jokingly to her, while going to lay down with her.

"Are you down to go to this new bar in the city, some kid in my Music Theory class knows the owner"

I looked at her while she tried to show me the bars instagram page, knowing I would need convincing. I enjoyed going out but not as much as her. I honestly preferred just going to the bar around the corner from our apartment.

"Don't give me that face, we have to go! He said he could get us a booth, you could just sit in that area the whole time, please"

"Only because you asked so nicely, I guess I'll go with you. What time we going to go?"

"He said 8, so we can leave here around 9. We live around 20 minutes away. But let's ask the more important questions, what are we gonna wear?"

"I hope you know the only reason I truly said yes is because of the new skirt you bought me a week ago." I said knowing I knew exactly what I wanted to wear, since I had been brainstorming occasions I could wear my new clothes to.

"Whatever you say Addie, we need to go out more! We've been in our bed for the past like two weeks, doing nothing," she complained, while struggling to get up.

I followed her when she starting walking to our, thankfully spacious bathroom.

Audrey had come from money, I learned soon after I met her in an Aritzia in the city. We had both walked out of the dressing rooms at the same time, and bonded over our hatred of the public mirrors.

Most people would never know she came from money, by the way she carries herself. She has the most beautiful voice, and is the smartest person I know.

Her parents begged her to let them take care of the rent of an apartment, and she finally gave in after her first year of being in the Vocal Arts program at Julliard. So when she offered her extra room to me, at no cost, I couldn't say no.

While in the bathroom getting ready for our night out, I listened to Audrey hum Ivy by Taylor Swift to herself. She could sing any song without flaw.

She stopped singing in between the changing of songs, "I hope we find a cute boy for you tonight!"

I looked at her through the mirror, but she was already looking at me with a smirk on her face about to break out into laughter.

She could never wrap her head around the fact I had talked to about 2 boys in the year I've lived with her.

"Oh please, Audrey. How much do you wanna bet I'll go up to a boy tonight and get his number " I said knowing I was in an adventurous mood, and felt like spicing things up.

"I'll bet you my Dyson, that you won't even go up to a boy tonight," she knew how badly I loved her Dyson, so I knew she secretly wanted to "lose" the bet.

When we were finally done getting ready, it was already around 9:00, and we decided to just head out already.

When we made it to the subway, we sat down quickly and I decided to post on Instagram.
