When I entered Luke's car is the back garage of Prudential Center, he ran to the passengers side to open my door. On his way to the drivers side, he had went to grab something from his trunk.

He entered on his side, with a small box wrapped in wrapping paper.

He immediately handed it to me, "Open it."

"Luke please don't feel obligated to get me things, this is literally your big day," Since we were young, Luke always had a way to make his special achievements about other people.

"I don't feel obligated, I saw it online and thought of you."

I started unwrapping the paper, and was met with a small teal box with the words "Tiffany & Co." on the front.

I immediately handed the box to Luke before even looking inside of it, "I don't want this, please spend your money on something for yourself." I knew exactly what was inside of the box, because I had been wanting it since I was a teenager.

"I have everything I need, let me do this one thing for you. Okay?"

"Thank you. I love it, I can't believe you remembered I wanted it," I said admiring the necklace.

"I remember everything about you, Ads."

"Luke, you know I'm not ready for a relationship, right?" I stated, wanting to make it clear I wasn't truly ready to focus on having someone else in my life.

"That's okay," He replied blankly while starting the car.

We drove in silence, with the hum of the radio playing in the background.

When we arrived to the place Ellen picked out to have dinner, it was extremely nice. After parking in the garage, me and Luke walked hand in hand into the restaurant.

Everyone had already arrived, and we took the last two seats beside each other.

I happened to be sorted between Luke and Jack, so I knew my the end of this dinner I was going to be exhausted. Right when I sat down, Jack already started his banter with me.

"Where's your friend from the other night? Audrey her name was?" I gave him the side eye, "Don't even start with this right now Jack," I shut him down immediately.

I realized I was sat across from Ellen's sister, Elizabeth, who had also been in my life a lot growing up.

We got into conversation about how we had both been doing, and after around ten minutes of this, I looked left to find Luke staring at me.

After around 20 seconds of us starting, his aunt started to speak. "So Jack, Luke any special ladies you've been seeing down here," She said jokingly.

Jack just laughed, while Luke spoke, "Yeah actually, there's this girl I've been hanging out with who lives in the same apartment as me and Jack."

This was obviously, news to me. Why would he say this infront of me? After gifting me a necklace that he knew would means tons to me, after I admitted he had meant everything to me?

I immediately felt sick to my stomach, and excused myself to go to the restroom.

Before turning into the hallway the restroom was down, I could hear Jack reprimanding Luke, "Why would you even bring that up Luke?" It almost hurt even more Jack knew about her and didn't tell me.

When I entered a stall, I stayed standing, and realized Luke didn't belong to me. I had literally just told him I wasn't ready for a relationship, why would he wait for me?

For the rest of dinner, after I returned from the bathroom, I felt like an outsider.

Honestly, after being invited to dinner it felt as if I'd reconciled with the family. I knew that Luke wasn't obligated to tell me anything, but after we had spoken about how we felt, I truly thought we were on the same page.

I ended up riding with Ellen, Jim, and Quinn who insisted on driving me all the way to my place, instead of just dropping me off near the subway.

When we arrived to my apartment, Quinn walked me up to my front door.

"You feeling okay Addie?" Quinn asked, I knew he could tell I was off. "Luke is an idiot for still not being able to realize he has the perfect girl infront of him."

I laughed at his reassurance, "Honestly it's my fault, I kinda told him I wasn't ready for a relationship."

"No he's still an idiot"

I unlocked my door and opened it, "Thank you Quinn for being so supportive," I gave him a quick hug.

"Goodnight Addie," He said as I watched him walk away, towards the elevators.

I walked in and locked my door, "Audrey, you home?" I asked, even though I could see her jacket draped on the rack and her purse on the counter.

"Come to my room Addie!"

I took my shoes off and quickly changed into one of my sleep shirts, and scurried off to her room to lay in her bed.

I found her in her bed with a face mask on, "So how'd tonight go?"

"Literally worse than I could've ever imagined," I said to her blankly.

"How are you gonna say that, when I can clearly see that new Tiffany necklace on your neck," She sat up and admired to new necklace I got.

"I told Luke how I wasn't ready for a relationship and he told his whole family he was seeing another girl, 45 minutes after that. I think that's pretty bad"

"Now why would his dumb ass do that?"

"I really wish I knew."

We continued to talk for a while, until I could feel my eyes start to close.

I walked into my room, and laid in my bed. When I opened my phone, I quickly started to catch up on everything on social media I'd missed.

I saw Ellen had posted about her boys, which inspired me to do my own post.
