Sitting in the corner of the nightclub with Finn, Tommy walked over, holding John up by his arms. Bonnie wasn't with him, it had been almost an hour since she had left to buy the drinks.
"Where is Bonnie? " I asked, sitting up at the table.
Tommy looked embarrassed, "I left her... " he paused, letting out a sigh, "With Emelio. "
My blood turned cold, panic filled me. "You bastard-! " I snapped, standing up quickly, "Why did you leave her?! ""John was drunk, didn't want him getting in trouble. " Tommy was almost pleading with me as I stood next to him, furious that he could leave my dim-witted friend in danger.
"Bonnie could be dead for all we know.... Or worse. " My voice trembled, "Fuck you, Thomas! " I slapped his chest, "She trusted you-! "
"She will be fine... " Tommy muttered, taking my hand off his chest, "I told her to act smart. "
I hit his chest again only harder, "You told her to act smart?!" Rolling my eyes I felt like slapping him across the face, "Oh well done Tommy, you told her to act smart and-"
The background music came to a sudden halt, and the microphone squealed. Looking towards the stage, the female singer no longer had control of the microphone, instead the microphone was in the grip of a bony hand. Following the hand up further and further it was Emilio. Before I could run up to the stage and give him a piece of my mind, Tommy grabbed me by the waist, pulling me back.
"Ladies and Gentleman... " Emelio had a smirk on his face, his thick Italian accent hissing into the microphone, "I hope we are all enjoying the night..." he paused as he looked backstage. Looking back at the crowd, he smirked more, "I am here to announce... " he paused causing tension within the crowd, "I am here to announce my engagement. " My heart fell... No, it couldn't be, "My engagement to the beautiful... Wonderful Bonnie Darcy. "
The room uproared with applause, but none of us seemed to be happy. Finn stood up next to me, his hand lightly brushing against mine. Tommy had let go of me, no emotion shown on his face. John was too drunk to care.
Bonnie was nowhere to be seen, the stage only had Emilio smiling at the applause. This wasn't right. I knew Bonnie was a tad bit stupid, but she wasn't dumb enough to marry the first guy who paid her attention.
"This isn't right... " I whispered, looking up at Tommy.
But he had no response, he was lost in a trance, staring at Emilio with his piercing blue eyes. Finn had hold of my hand, comforting me.
"I have to find her... " I whispered, "She could be hurt. " my voice trembled from fear of what this man was able to do to my friend."I'm coming with you-" Finn gripped my hand tighter looking up at Tommy, "Are you coming...? "
"What-? " Tommy broke out of his trance, "Yeah... I'm coming... One of you has to look after John though. "
"Fuck John. " I snapped, looking in John's direction. He was sprawled out on a chair, almost black-out drunk, "He got into that situation. "
Tommy rolled his eyes and pointed a finger at Finn "You're staying with John-"
"What-! " Finn looked at John, "He is a grown man-! "
Tommy got right close to Finn's face, still pointing at him. His voice lowered to an angry hush, "I'm not having two members of this fucking household go missing in one night... Now grow up and stay with your brother till we get back."
Finn slumped in a chair next to John as Tommy and I rushed off. We began searching for Bonnie, tapping people on the shoulder and asking if they had seen her. Everyone said no.
"There... Look, " Tapping Tommy on the shoulder I pointed to the backstage, where performers and the band were walking in and out of, "She might be in there. "
"She won't be back there-" Tommy tried to walk away, by I only walked closer to the backstage door, hoping Tommy would follow after me.
"Freya-! " He ran up beside me, trying to grab my arm to pull me away but I was determined she was backstage, "Please... I want to find her. "
"So do I... But she won't be back there-"
"How do you know-? "
Tommy fell silent. He didn't know. My determination won, and we both silently walked backstage. Pushing the velvet curtain back, it led to a long corridor filled with doors. Pushing open door after door in search of Bonnie, we only found dressing rooms and closets. There were only two doors left.
Both of us held our breaths, Tommy clutched his gun as I opened the door closest to my left. It was a dressing room. Heading for the last door, Tommy reached it before me. Holding his gun, he kicked the door open. Well at least tried to until we realised it was locked by a small padlock.
"Stand back, " Tommy pushed me behind him as he aimed his gun at the padlock. Shooting it, the gunshot echoed through the hallway. The padlock clattered on the floor. As he swung the door open it was an empty office with horrible green walls. Tommy still had his gun placed up, as he wandered inside. Standing behind him I had no protection."Bonnie? "walking further into the dimly lit office, the light sob came from behind the desk. Tommy and I rushed towards the sob, finding it belonged to Bonnie. She crawled up in a ball behind the desk, her hair was messed up and looked as if it had been pulled, her face was red and lipstick was smeared across her face. Tears poured down her face, she couldn't look either of us in the eye.
Both Tommy and I instantly knelt next to her. I wrapped her tightly in my arms as she let out a horrific cry on my shoulder. Tommy took her hand into his own, stocking it gently to calm her down. We both knew this was a little more than her last breakdown over a wet shirt.
"This is all your fault. " I looked Tommy dead in the eyes, rocking Bonnie as she sobbed into my shoulder. "What happened? " I asked Bonnie, trying to ignore Tommy's presence.
She let out a sob, "I don't want this....he threatened to hurt you all," She tugged her hand away from Tommy fully embracing me, "Emilio threatened to Kill all of you...even you Freya, "
"Doesn't mean you have to marry him-" I whispered.
She looked away from me, pulling away from the hug as she wiped her eyes on her sleeve, "I'm not starting a war..."
"He's a sabini... Isn't he? " Tommy sighed, placing his face into his hands.
Bonnie nodded and began to cry once again, "I don't know what to do. "
