ASHWIN’S POV
"I want blood samples from everyone. Report the results to me before evening,"
I said in a cold tone with a straight face. The assistant doctors and trainees nodded and then went away.
Cold and ruthless – that's how my personality is. None of us change for the outside world; we only show a softer side in front of Bhabhi Maa. To others, we remain the same cruel Rathores.
I let out a sigh after a long day, realizing that only half the day had passed and that I still had a long day ahead.
Suddenly, someone entered my tent to inform me of an emergency. I rushed out with my stethoscope, following the nurse. We entered a particular tent, and on my way, I saw a girl and a boy standing worriedly.
I observed the unconscious woman lying on the bed and frowned.
She felt familiar like I had seen her somewhere, but where?
Pushing my thoughts away, I first focused on treating her.
After checking up on her, I looked at the nurse and said, "She will regain consciousness in five minutes or so."
I said and walked out. I doubted her mental condition was stable, and her physical condition was weak – much weaker than it should be for a woman of her age.
It’s really difficult to predict what a woman has gone through because they will only show it if they want us to know. This is what Bhabhi Maa does every time.
I pause and look at the siblings to inform them about their mother’s condition. They both were lost in themselves, the boy was trying to comfort his sister.
They make me recall my moments with Bhai sa. He too used to face difficulty in comforting me, Karthik, and Adheer. His face was worth looking at, but his efforts warmed our hearts. he knows nothing other than business and sticking himself to bhabhi maa, lovesick puppy.
I cleared my throat to gain their attention.
even though I didn’t want to break their moment, I still would
Because I am Dr Ashwin Vardhan Singh Rathod
‘side effects of living with Mythili’I told them about their mother’s condition after confirming that they were her child, but was interrupted by a nurse who came running, fear on her face with my Phone. Did I leave it somewhere??!!
I gulp seeing the call is from Bhabhi Maa and looking at the feared expression of the nurse it’s clear that she threatened her. I internally sighed knowing how much Bhabhi Maa disliked this particular nurse, Isha.
I answered the call cause come on I didn’t want to worry her and she would get angry if I didn’t answer the call at once. Telling her to hold for a minute I look at the siblings and inform them that they can meet their mother.
Afterwards, I headed to my tent and sat on my chair to respond to Bhabhi.
"Yes, bhabhi maa!"
"What are you doing?" she asked.
I sighed and rolled my eyes at her question, replying sarcastically,
"Dancing."
"If you wanted to dance, you could have done that at home. Why go on a camping trip for that?" she retorted.
"Silly woman! What else would I be doing here?" I replied.
"Maybe searching for my devrani sa," she suggested.
I couldn't help but laugh at her. Her obsession with finding me a devrani sa for her was relentless.
It seemed like she thought she would have to deal with her for the rest of her life as if she was determined to ruin my happily single life.
