“Ashwin, what happened? Why aren’t you saying anything? What doubt do you want to clear that you called her?” Vidharth asked desperately, pointing at the female doctor. He sat beside Mythili, holding her hand and gently caressing her hair.

“Bhai, shant. Let her check first; then we can talk,” Ashwin replied carefully, trying to keep Vidharth calm. In moments like this, his brother's emotions often clouded his judgment.

“Sir, please step outside. I need to check her,” the female doctor said

“Check her in front of me,” Vidharth firmly

The doctor sighed and glanced at Ashwin, seeking his support.

Ashwin looked to Rudra, who promptly pulled Vidharth out of the room.

Baap baap hota hai!

Ashwin leaned against the wall, nervously praying for good news. Meanwhile, Vidharth paced back and forth, agitating the elders, who remained patient, knowing the situation.

After some time, the doctor emerged with a smile and nodded at Ashwin before leaving the area.

Ashwin's face lit up with joy as he rushed to Vidharth, enveloping him in a tight hug. His heart felt as if it would burst with happiness.

“Congratulations, bhai! Bhabhi is PREGNANT!” he exclaimed, his voice ringing with excitement.

Vidharth froze, the news hitting him like a wave. He stood there, numb, struggling to comprehend what he had just heard.

“A-Are you s-sure, Ashwin?” Rudra stammered, his eyes welling with tears. He needed confirmation, desperate to know if he had truly heard the news or if it was just a product of his hope.

Ashwin nodded, enveloping him in a wide smile that wouldn’t fade. “Bhabhi is pregnant! I’m going to be Chachu, Bade Papa!”

“Mythili is pregnant, bhai sa! I can’t believe it! I’m over the moon!” Vardhan exclaimed, throwing his arms around Rudra and jumping with excitement. Ashwin shook his head at his father’s childishness but hugged him too.

The moment the news reached him, Dada Sa slipped away silently, absorbing the joy. Vidharth and the others rushed inside, only to find Mythili still unconscious. They now understood the reason behind her radiant glow over the past few days: she was pregnant.

Suddenly, the sound of a bell rang out, prompting them to close their eyes and join hands in prayer, thanking God for the new bundle of joy.

“Look at Ved,” Vardhan said, brushing away a tear threatening to escape his eye. Rudra wiped his tears before glancing at Vidharth.

No one could suppress their smiles; their happiness radiated across their faces. Vidharth’s gaze was fixed on his wife, his expression a mix of admiration and joy. He didn’t even notice the tears streaming down his cheeks as he gently caressed Mythili's palm, kissing it tenderly while looking at her like the happiest man alive.

It was as if he were thanking her a thousand times through his gaze.

“Vidharth, if you keep staring like that, Mythili will get nazar,” Vardhan chuckled, teasing his love-struck son. Vidharth blinked, snapping out of his trance.

“Rakshak se kabhi khatra nahi hota, Kaka sa. Mai hi kala dhaga hoon meri Swamini aur humare bacche ke liye,” he replied softly, his eyes never leaving her. She needed rest, care, and all the love he could give.

Rudra wrapped his arms around his son, and Vidharth reciprocated, still holding one of Mythili’s fingers.

“I’m so happy. Congratulations, Vidharth,” Rudra said.
