"Shriya!"
"Shriya!"
"Shriya!"
Ashwin continued tapping her cheeks to wake her from her dream who was mumbling and crying when suddenly she opened her eyes with a shout
"MUMMY!!!"
Ashwin looked at her worriedly and passed her glass of water. She was breathing heavily not blinking her eyes only tears were flowing.
She looked at him when she noticed a glass near her lips Ashwin said to her softly
"Have water first"
Her heavy breathing and trembling self slowly drank the water while Ashwin kept his hold on the glass so that it wouldn't fall from her hand.
After completing the whole glass she moved her face "Want more?"
She shook her head distancing herself from him. Ashwin who realized their closeness immediately got up from the bed standing at a safe distance.
He was resting on the couch when Shriya started panicking in sleep, he got so worried for some unknown reason and went beside her attempting to wake her. When she woke up that time he let out a sigh of relief he didn't realise how fast his heart was beating that time.
Shriya's heart was beating at the same speed as his just the difference was one with worriedness and desperation while the other with fear and pain.
Shriya roam her eyes around the room with a frowning brow which stops at Ashwin
"You need something else?" Ashwin asked her who looked away from him biting her lower lips shaking her head and letting out a trembling whisper in silence
"L-leave me a-alone,"
"Bu--
"Pl-please"
She begged through her voice still not looking at him as if don't want him to see her vulnerable state.
Ashwin wasn't in favour of her words. He doesn't want to leave her alone when she needs someone the most for support but then sometimes it's good to let them alone.
Not everyone's personality is the same, he thought she was someone who likes to be alone and also it's a very hard thing for her so he moves out with the thought of having words with her in the morning but not before
"Cry as much as you want tonight, Shriya. If need anything then I'm outside"
He said to her and patted her head before going out.
He close the door tightly holding the Knob as if not ready to leave it. The second he close the door he heard a heart breaking cry of her.
He let go of the Knob and move far away from the door
