As I started to leave my room and suddenly a thought came to mind. 'What if the tension doesn't subsidy and I need to quit my summer job at Jungkook's house last minute?' I have to get over this awkwardness before that happens... He's helped me out a lot and I shouldn't let my feelings affect our friendship.
I walked to the kitchen and made eye contact with Jungkook and then I looked away quickly. We all went to the car. Jin said that the front seats were for him and Jimin. So me and Jungkook were both stuck in the backseat...
Now I'm stuck in an awkward car ride... I mentally facepalmed. Jin started the engine and went over to Jimin's house. He went inside the car and greeted all of us.
Jimin: So where's the bodyguard you hired?
Jungkook: Oh umm he's just going to meet us at the amusement park...
Jimin: Okay...
The atmosphere was still suffocating. I wonder if even Jimin could feel it. We started to arrive at the amusement park. It was so cool. Jin parked the car in a parking spot that was pretty close. We got lucky.
Jin: So where is the security?
Jungkook: At the front gate. He'll follow us as soon as we get in.
We got out of the car and went to the front and he was right. As soon as we got to the front the bodyguard recognized Jungkook and started following us as he introduced himself. We introduced ourselves too. As we walked around, the tension eased up. I walked around in awe and felt like a child. I got cotton candy in my hand somehow.
I ate my cotton candy as I saw a rollercoaster. I wanted to go on it. I wanted to go on it with someone else so I asked the group who wanted to go with me and Jimin said he was afraid of heights and Jin said he would stay. The bodyguard said that he would stay too so it would be me and Jungkook. He agreed to go with me and we waited in line.
It was awkward waiting in line. It was a pretty long line too but since we were already in line and people went in line behind us there was no turning back unless we wanted to embarrass ourselves. We still felt awkward together. I wanted to find out if he knew about this morning but I was too embarrassed. Then after an eternity we were finally on the ride. We sat close to the front in the same cart next to each other.
I am a bit scared of heights but really like the thrill of a rollercoaster. I usually just get the most scared on my first drop on my first rollercoaster of the day and afterwards just get more accustomed to it. I usually am with BLACKPINK when I go on rollercoasters so I scoot closer to them sometimes. This is a pretty big rollercoaster and my nerves are eating me up. I start to regret this decision and told myself that I should've first gone on a smaller rollercoaster. But it was too late as we were already buckled in.
The rollercoaster did its thing and then we reached the top of a drop. As we started going down I grabbed his hand. I didn't realize it as we went around the up and downs of the ride. As the ride went to a stop I slowly started to realize I was holding something in my hand. Then as it stopped I realized it was his hand. People started to get off and I quickly took my hand back. We got off and I decided to apologize.
Y/n: I'm so sorry for that I guess it was just out of habit...
Jungkook: Oh it's fine...
He slightly smiled at me and I felt a bit of relief. I looked down at my feet and decided that I should also apologize for this morning. So I took a breath and decided to apologize.
Y/n: Hey so umm...
Jungkook: Hmm?
He looked up at me as we walked to the exit.
Y/n: So this morning... I woke with me hugging you.. I'm also sorry for that... I guess I just felt really comfortable with you. I hope that all of this doesn't affect our friendship too much...
Jungkook: It won't so don't worry too much about it. I'm glad that you at least felt comfortable after all that happened with Vernon.
I nodded and we both smiled. I felt the weight on my shoulders loosen. I sighed a sigh of relief. We got to the exit and saw everyone.
Jin: How was the ride?
Y/n & Jungkook: Good.
Y/n: It took us upside down too!
Jin smiled and Jimin awkwardly smiled. We all started walking around again and we all went on a few rides. I went with Jungkook on a lot of rides and our friendship got stronger as the day went on.
