🎀🎀🎀Jessica is sound asleep not letting her alarms break the deep slumber she's in. For the past couple of weeks, she's been keeping documents organized for the student council for the start of her Sophomore year. She was even dreaming about it thinking of all the good or bad outcomes of her work. It was quickly cut off by a soft surface getting slammed into her face
"Jess let's go you're gonna be late." Zach shook his younger sister trying to wake her. "You have 30 minutes to get ready." He continued waiting for the girl to wake up.
Zach Everhart was Jessica's older brother he was a senior getting ready to graduate his last year of high school. He took care of Jessica ever since their mom got extremely sick. She's been bedridden for a couple of years.
Jessica stretches and moves around her bed with a groan "Five minutes." She whispered slowly going back to bed. "I'm leaving without you if you're not in the car by 7:30," Zach said while opening the window to let the bright sun in. Then leaving her room with a slightly loud bang from closing the door.
With the noise and bright lights beaming in Jessica's plain room, she decided to get up slowly adjusting to the light. Standing up with a small yawn and stretch she made her way to the cluttered desk in the corner. It had piles of papers, some books either closed or opened, and a couple of picture frames of her brother and friends. She made sure to grab every important piece of paper and stuff it in her bag.
Jessica got dressed wearing a simple light blue jean pairing it with a light pink off-the-shoulder shirt. She left her long brown hair straight putting half of it in a small ponytail tying it with white ribbon. As she finished there was five minutes to spare to grab a quick breakfast and then leave.
Making her way downstairs she could see her brother making some kind of edible food to eat. The smell caught up to her nose making her react with her face scrunching together. "Did you burn something?" She asked making her way over. Zach looked up with a disappointed face "What, why do you think that." He finished spreading jam on the food he made placing it in front of Jessica. "Your breakfast is served." He said with a proud smile.
Jessica looked down at the burnt toast it was a brick with a thick layer of strawberry jam to try and cover the charred parts. "Zach this is practically inedible." She said grabbing the bread and hitting it against the counter. The bread kept its hard shape with some burnt crumbs flying off. "You know what fine then I'll eat it," Zach said grabbing the toast a taking a big bite.
Jessica couldn't help but laugh at her brother trying to chew the hard bread. "Is it good?" She said in between chuckles. "I'm going to finish it on the way to school," Zach said barely swallowing the bite of bread.
Zach went to grab his keys making his way to the front door Jessica followed behind playing on her phone. Zach watched as his sister paid attention to her game throwing the bread in the yard of their neighbors. Zach started the car driving to the school.
"Who's your teacher again?" Zach asked wanting to make small talk with his younger sister. "Mr. Thomas I think I'm pretty sure he's new," Jessica replied looking up from her phone. "I haven't heard of him before," Zach pulled into the school and leaving 10 minutes for them to find their new classes.
It was a known fact that most of the school knew about the Everhart siblings they both were the perfect students. They had As every semester, both played well in their sport and did some kind of important club that made them stand out. Let alone how gorgeous the siblings looked. People would think they are the most interesting kind of people or they just thought that about Zach.
Walking in the siblings were greeted by friendships that died out after school making their way down the hall. The pair stopped at Jessica's locker to put her heavy books in. But Zach's attention was brought to a small argument over a couple of lockers down.
